About Open Studios

Swindon Open Studios is organised by a committee of volunteers who are passionate about art and keen to publicise the artwork being produced in Swindon. It's when Swindon artists open their studio doors, or showcase their work in a number of venues over 2 weekends in September. How long has Open Studios been taking place in Swindon? The first Open Studios was in 2004, then 2006

, and since 2008, there has been one every September (with the exception of 2020 and 2021 due to COVID).

Who is exhibiting near you? Take a look at the brochure (have you got yours yet??) or use the interactive map to see who is nearby. Make contact with them, like and follow their social media pages, and make sure to support each other by reminding visitors to go on to other local venues once they have seen your studio. This community event is a wonderful way to support other artists, share the love and help visitors find new and exciting things to see, as well as a great opportunity to connect with other local artists.
