UWTSD Students' Union We’re UWTSD Students' Union. Once enrolled at UWTSD, you're one of our members.

A student-led charity and team of friendly people - usually dressed in purple and in the company of Dafydd the Dragon - on a mission to help you make the most of your time as a student at UWTSD. Your membership is free and automatic, and you’re one of the newest members of a thousands-strong student community.

2. You were born on or after 21 July 2001 and will be a first-time university student, including international students, in the 2026/27 academic year.

3. You were born on or after 21 July 2001 and will be a first-time further education student living in halls or shared accommodation at specific settings in the 2026/27 academic year

You are eligible for the free meningitis vaccine on the NHS, and if you act now you can get the first part of 2 doses before you start uni

💜 We’ve had an amazing week welcoming new and familiar faces who are taking the next step in their academic careers at UWTSD.

Just like you, we get a bit nervous and excited at the start of the new academic year.

From Birmingham to Cardiff to Swansea - this week marked our first batch of inductions and welcomes for 2026/27 - and what a great bunch you’ve been.

We wanted to make you feel at home. And as cheesy as this may sound, you made us feel at home too - so thank you.

It’s been a brill start to 2026/27, and we couldn’t think of a better way to wrap up the week.
