An amazing evening of darts!

☑️ 23 players attended
☑️ Cat vs Mouse Tournament completed
☑️ Cat vs Mouse Tournament (Consolation Round) completed
☑️ Tie-break for first position in the 501 league
☑️ Most of the 501 league games completed now

But also…
♥️ Support shown for other players
♥️ Helping eachother out and offering to score matches
♥️ Excellent sportsmanship from winners and the unsuccessful players

Trophy Poll has now closed 🏆

Option 2 has won the vote with a huge 67% of the votes!

It will be ordered by the end of the day today, along with 180 badges, and 2nd & 3rd place medals. These will be handed out once the final games of the first ever season of Swadlincote Darts Academy have been completed 🎯

We will then look towards running multiple, smaller divisions within a league, giving some of the developing players a chance to compete with others at a similar level. We are hoping to operate a promotion/ relegation style league for regular attendees.

If this is something you want your child to be involved in, or not, please let us know so we can cater for all.

Weekly Challenges, and one-off tournaments will still occur and everyone will always be welcome to attend whether in a league, or not. We will also still be running the monthly mystery box raffles too 🎯

Our key priority remains to create a positive community and environment for like-minded, darts fans and young players (aged 7-17) and of all abilities, to develop their technique and make new friends.

A busy evening of darts! 26 players attended 🫶🏻

Cat vs Mouse Tournament & Consolation Tournament are well underway and will conclude next week 🏆

The ‘Lewis’ 501 League is wrapping up nicely, most players have between 2 and 5 games left to play before we figure out who has won! 😬😆

We are looking at creating multiple leagues going forward, it is just taking a bit of preparation time - so thank you for bearing with us!

We hope everyone had a wonderful (but warm!) May half-term! ☀️

We can’t wait to get back into it on Wednesday 🎯
We’ve got a Cat vs Mouse Tournament planned, and a new Weekly Challenge. I’ll attach a photo of the list now, in case anyone wants a practise at home beforehand…

With it being the beginning of a new month, we’ll be handing out those raffle tickets again, for the chance to win the June Mystery Box! 😆 *Winner to be announced June 10th - player must be present to collect on that evening (mainly due to everyone wanting to see the contents unwrapped!) 🎯

📝 Just a polite reminder that The Ballroom as a venue sells water and squash behind the bar as well as soft drinks and alcohol, so please only consume food and drinks purchased on the premises.

Lots of action shots taken tonight 📸

22 players attended, and everyone kept busy!

There were league games in play, Weekly Challenges being completed, games against the coaches taking place and even… not one, but two 180s witnessed! 1️⃣8️⃣0️⃣ Big shout out to Archie W and Alfie E! Fantastic darts!

Lewis’s 201 Tournament completed, with a tense final between Charles P and Joseph P! Lewis said “Both players did really well, particularly on the doubles! They should be proud!” Joseph P came away with the win 2 - 1 🏆 Certificates and prizes will be ready to collect next week.

Riley M scored a huge 120 on the Weekly Challenge, followed closely by Oliver S with his 110. If any parents fancy having a go at home, the photo is included in this upload (and do let us know your score - you too, can be recognised for your efforts!) 🎯

I’ve attached the 501 League Table as it stands (lots of games have been completed tonight, so will post the update as I receive it)
