💚Despite our wonderful Harvest donations, we're looking rather low on the following items.

🛒If you're able to donate, we'd be so thankful. We have collection points in all the major supermarkets in Stratford, or you're welcome to drop them off at Masons Road Hub on Monday afternoons, Thursday mornings or Saturday mornings.

😊 Thank you for standing with us.

💚From tomorrow, families who visit us with children and present a food voucher will receive a lunch hamper alongside their usual food parcel.
🥪This is to help make the October holidays a little easier and to ensure children in our community are able to eat well during the school break

🍎 Helping children and young people enjoy healthier food

Giving children the chance to try fresh fruit and veg, learn where their food comes from and get involved in cooking and growing can help build healthy habits and skills that last.

That’s why the Tesco Fruit & Veg Grant is such a great opportunity for local organisations. Grants of up to £1,500 are available to support projects working with children and young people, including young people with SEND up to the age of 25. 💚

And despite the name, it doesn’t have to be all about fruit and veg! Funding could help provide healthy snacks, cooking sessions, food-growing activities, nutrition education, outdoor learning, holiday programmes and wellbeing activities.

📍 We’re particularly keen to hear from organisations in Cannock, Coventry, Walsall, Solihull, Stoke, Uttoxeter, Castle Bromwich, Birmingham, Tenbury Wells, Shipston-on-Stour, Ledbury, Stourbridge and Redditch.

At least 50% of the project must support healthy food provision, and projects should be delivered within six months.

🌱 Could this help you introduce more healthy food into the activities you already deliver?

Get in touch with Groundwork West Midlands at [email protected] to chat about your idea and eligibility.

Please share or tag a local school, charity or community group that could benefit! 👇

Free freezer!

There's a free freezer going spare in Moreton in Marsh and would be perfect for some of our local groups doing foodbanks, specifically Stratford Town Trust potential new venture. I haven't got access to my work emails so I can't email directly but if anyone thinks this can be used, get in touch with them ASAP before someone else snaps it up!!
