CHANGES TO OUR HELPING HANDS SCHEME

Due to the current demand for our services and the increasing costs of operating without external funding, we have unfortunately had to make the difficult decision to limit our service area.

With immediate effect, the Helping Hands Scheme will operate within a 25-mile radius only. This change will help us continue providing support in a sustainable way while maintaining the quality of service we offer.

Huge congratulations to GABLE’S very own Lisa Wallace, who took on the Hyrox Competition at Melvin Sports Complex, Strabane on Saturday 30 May 2026! 💪
Taking on one of the toughest fitness challenges out there, Lisa showed incredible determination, resilience, and spirit from start to finish. While she may not have taken the top spot this time, she’s absolutely our golden girl and a true inspiration to us all! 🥇

Our team were delighted to give a talk focused on helping older people plan ahead for staying comfortable and independent in their homes

We shared advice on:

🚽 Downstairs toilets
♿ Accessibility adaptations
🔧 Future-proofing living spaces

It was fantastic to share ideas, answer questions, and support conversations around creating age-friendly homes that work for every stage of life

If you see us, please remember to give generously

When we had our sleep out in December 2025, the generosity we experienced was off the charts and made a huge difference to the work that we do.

Each donation helps us do more than just combat homelessness. We help install wet-rooms, handrails and more so vulnerable people can stay in their home longer and makes them more comfortable and helps them maintain their independence.

Which is why we are asking for your help, once again. So we can continue this important work.
