When you tell a new volunteer, “It’s just an hour a week…” 👀

“I’m sorry. I’m a traitor.” 😂⚜️

Somewhere between planning camp, drying tents and finding a home for 37 odd socks, we may have lost track of that hour… But we also get the campfire laughs, the friendships and the proud moment a young person says, “I did it!” after being convinced they couldn’t.

The time volunteers give matters. Whether you can help occasionally, share a skill or join a section team, there’s a place for you in Scouting. You don’t need to know every knot, just be willing to get involved!

🌍⚜️ Bingo Night for Poland 2027! ⚜️🌍

Come along and support Dan and Elsa from Stokesley as they fundraise for their journey to the World Scout Jamboree in Poland 2027.

📅 Saturday 14th November
📍 Stokesley Masonic Hall, 80 West Green
🚪 Doors open 7pm | Eyes down 7:30pm
💷 Entry just £5

There'll be bingo, a raffle, cake sale and full bar, with all proceeds helping Dan and Elsa represent our community on the world stage.

Eyes Down for a Great Cause!

Join us for a fantastic Bingo Fundraiser and help support two inspiring young people from Stokesley, Dan and Elsa, as they prepare to represent Stokesley and North Yorkshire at the 2027 World Scout Jamboree in Poland! 🌍⚜️

The World Scout Jamboree brings together thousands of young people from across the globe, creating unforgettable opportunities for adventure, friendship, cultural exchange and personal growth.
By coming along, buying a ticket and enjoying a fun evening of bingo, you'll be helping Dan and Elsa on their journey to this once-in-a-lifetime event.

At Stokesley Scout Group, we see it all the time, the shy kid at the edge of the room, eyes down, convinced they don’t belong. And then someone shows up for them. Someone ties a necker. Someone says, clearly, you matter here.

That tiny moment can change everything.
A bit of belief. A kind word. An adult who shows up when nobody else did. It costs so little, and it can quietly reshape an entire life.

Many of us are still standing on the early belief someone once gave us.
Now it’s our turn.
