What amazing footage from one of our visitors this week of a dragonfly by the pond. We seen a few this day flying around the garden. This is what it is all about a haven for people and wildlife.

💚 A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR VOLUNTEERS! 💚

As the summer holidays come to an end, we want to say a massive THANK YOU to our incredible team of volunteers. 🌻

It’s been an incredibly busy few weeks at The Eco Therapy Garden, and our volunteers have worked tremendously hard to make it all happen.

From preparing and supporting art sessions, yoga, bird watching, crafts and activities, to helping with our summer lunch bundles, maintaining the garden and even building our fantastic new children’s play area. 🛝🎨🧘‍♀️🐦

And through one of the hottest summers in recent memory, they’ve put in countless hours watering, caring for and protecting our flowers, plants, fruit and vegetables. 🌱🥕🌸

There’s so much work that happens behind the scenes to keep the garden running, and quite simply…

Without our volunteers, we couldn’t do what we do. 💚

We’re now taking a few well-earned days to reset, catch our breath and start planning what’s coming next.

🌿 The Eco Therapy Garden will reopen on Wednesday 2nd September.

Have a fantastic Bank Holiday weekend everyone, and to every single one of our volunteers, THANK YOU! 🌻💚

Thank you to everyone who has supported the project and to all the families who have visited us.

Please visit Knowsley news and search free summer lunches to find other service providers that may still be available.

🎨 CREATIVITY, CONFIDENCE & CONNECTION AT THE GARDEN 🌿

Another fantastic YES-funded session at The Eco Therapy Garden, with 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐞𝐲’𝐬 𝐀𝐫𝐭 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐝 | 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐬 & 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 bringing pottery and clay to the garden this week! 🏺🎨

The sessions were busy once again, with the children getting stuck in, trying something new and creating some brilliant pieces. We’ve also loved hearing their ideas and suggestions for future sessions, helping the young people themselves shape what we offer next. 💚

We were also delighted to welcome Marie Morgan, Merseyside Violence Reduction Partnership Officer and MFRS Strategic Lead for MVRP, to the garden to see our YES-funded sessions in action and the impact they are having.

For us, these sessions are about much more than arts and crafts. They provide a safe, positive and welcoming space where young people can be creative, build confidence, socialise and enjoy meaningful activities during the summer holidays.

Seeing the sessions full, hearing the feedback from the children and watching them proudly show off what they’ve created is exactly what this project is all about. 🌱

A huge thank you to Lindsey’s Art Shed, our funders and everyone helping us make these opportunities possible.
