On Saturday, CYM Stockport attended the Northern Regional Rally. All of the performers did brilliantly, and it was a lovely day enjoyed by everyone. A huge well done to Bradford for hosting such a fantastic event. 🇺🇦👍

This year is especially meaningful as we mark the 20th anniversary of Vyshyvanka Day - two decades of honouring a tradition that has survived repression, war, and attempts to erase Ukrainian culture. Yet the vyshyvanka endures, worn proudly across the world as a quiet but powerful declaration: Ukraine lives.

On this anniversary year, wearing a vyshyvanka is more than a gesture of pride - it is an act of continuity. It connects today’s youth with generations before them and affirms the future of a culture that refuses to fade. CYM stands at the heart of that effort, helping every young Ukrainian carry their heritage with confidence, dignity, and love. 🩵💛

On Sunday Ukrainian Youth Association CYM Stockport Branch GB and OUZ Stockport - Association of Ukrainian Women in Great Britain held their annual Свято Матері concert 💐

It was a lovely concert filled with dance, poems and music. All of the performers did a fantastic job, especially our younger members. The concert ended with the children sharing personal messages to their mamas, there was not a dry eye in the room.

Thank you to everyone who attended and to all those who helped in any way. A very special thank you to our special guest, Nadia Verba, for attending and performing at our concert. 🩵💛

Yesterday, our dance group Sokil, along with quartet Mirage and the ladies’ choir Lastivka, had the pleasure of performing at the Mayor’s Charity Ball at Stockport Town Hall.

Everyone performed beautifully, especially our younger members, who truly did us proud. It was a wonderful evening and a fantastic experience for all involved! 🩵💛
