Skip, Puddles, Kinder, Akela (x2), Teddy, Kwasin, Little Beever and Nutkin need your help!
If you recognise these names, then you or your child has been or is currently a member of 1st Bramhall Scout Group.
If you don’t recognise them, then let us introduce ourselves...
We are all members of a long-established Scout Group based at The Bramley Centre, behind the Health Centre, in Bramhall. We’ve been around since 1909 but look great for our age!
Scouting offers amazing opportunities for children to socialise , learn new skills and be active in a caring and safe environment. We are actively recruiting new volunteers to join us. Various roles will be available from September (or earlier if possible) across all sections and behind the scenes. Perhaps you have an hour or two a week to spare to help at one of our meetings? You might only be available to help out once a month, driving a minibus, helping to sort equipment or sharing a skill? You might be ready for the challenge of running your own section? Whatever you are able to offer, we would love to hear from you. Our sections and waiting lists are currently full but we are exploring the options of opening new groups so that we are able to offer Scouting Skills for Life to more young people in Bramhall. Our groups range from Squirrels (ages 4-6) right through to Explorers (ages 14-18).

What we can offer in return...
All team members are provided with full training for their role. This includes statutory Safeguarding and Safety Training.
All members undergo a free DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check – a requirement for working with children.
Uniform (if required for the role)
A guaranteed place for your child(ren) within the group
A very rewarding role with lots of fun and laughter.
Lots of opportunities to improve your own skills and experiences – this looks great on your CV!

Another fun filled week at 1st Bramhall.
The squirrels crafted a beautiful poppy display ahead of Remembrance Sunday. Both Beaver colonies practised their campfire skills and put to practise what they had learnt after last week's visit to the fire station.
The cubs visited the Cenotaph and researched some local soilders that lost their lives in the world wars.
Friday was the 1st Bramhall Scouts firework display. (Some photos attached)

Remembrance Sunday is 10th November 2024. Our Cubs, Scouts and Explorers will be joining the Remembrance Sunday procession.
At 10.40am the procession will leave Holland Road and make its way to Bramhall War Memorial for the 11am service at the War Memorial. It will then proceed to St Michael and All Angels Parish Church on St Michaels Avenue, via Bramhall Lane South and Robins Lane.
