We’re back from camp and straight back into more exciting activities. This time it’s our explorers who have upgraded their previous slip ‘n slide design, to add a bouncy finale!

The highlight from the last few days of camp has been kayaking. It’s so convenient to be camping right on the shores of Lake Windermere. It wouldn’t be a kayaking session at 2nd Bramhall without making a splash!

Day 3 of our summer camp was all about Ghyll Scrambling! Our scouts slid, jumped and swam their way through the ghyll so well. The amount of courage and bravery that these biggest jumps take is not to be underestimated!

We recently took our scouts to Cliff Lakes inflatable water park, for what was a mega 80 minutes of splashing and sliding! Everyone had a lot of fun!

Our Explorers love coming up with new and unique activities to try. This variation on the classic leap of faith activity is no different!

Our scouts recently tested their driving skills using our own scout group made, go karts, which we call Yogi Carts!

Safe to say that some have some more practice to do before getting behind the wheel of a real car, in a few years!

In addition to developing key scouting and leadership skills, our PLs and APLs still found time to have a laugh on their recent camp.

For one of the nights, those brave enough slept under the stars, without tents, in a basha. To finish the camp, they had a massive nerf war and wide game all throughout the woodland!

We recently took our Patrol Leaders and Assistant Patrol Leaders on a camp to prepare them to lead their patrols on our upcoming Summer Camp.

Key skills they need to have mastered include navigation, leadership, communication and open fire cooking!
