This International Womens Day, we’re celebrating the incredible women who power our communities’.

From dedicated volunteers to inspiring leaders, thank you for making a difference everyday.

We’re proud to highlight Lizzy Akindele from Stockport Race Equality Partnership, who won last year’s Stockport Rocks! Unsung Hero award.

For over 15 years, Lizzy has empowered more than 130 women through sewing projects that build confidence, skills and belonging, while also supporting elderly residents with meals, welfare checks and companionship.
