🍀 A County Durham Easter Surprise! 🍀

Get ready for a magical County Durham tale! Last night, our own local magic stirred as a bunch of adorable tiny green Easter bunnies materialized from the new 3D printer, complete with a dazzling golden egg! 🥚✨ Imagine!

Then, in the morning mist, they were gone! 🌫️ We suspect these were extra-special bunnies from right here in Durham, their golden eggs transformed into the most delicious Easter eggs imaginable. They've now hopped off to live with the lucky kids who discovered them.

The Phenomenon: Little green bunnies and golden eggs appeared in the club, then vanished off to their new homes with our young people....
The Treasure: The golden egg is now a real Easter treat heading off home with Kyren!
The Lucky Ones: If you found a bunny, it's yours to nurture and love! 💚

Did a tiny green bunny decide to set up home with you? Share your stories below! We love celebrating Easter with fun, food, and a touch of mystery!

A Close Call and a Community Wake-Up Call

Last Thursday night, our club community faced every parent’s worst nightmare. A child was hit by a car right outside our doors.

We are incredibly relieved to share that because the driver was being sensible and slowed down, the child has no lasting physical injuries. However, the impact remains: the driver is in deep shock, and the children who witnessed the accident are still processing the trauma of seeing their friend in danger.

It happened in a split second, a moment of distraction while stepping out from behind a parked vehicle. It is a stark reminder of why we must STOP, LOOK, and LISTEN.

To our drivers: We often see cars speeding over the bumps outside the club. If it had been one of those drivers on Thursday, we would be having a very different, much more tragic conversation today. Please, KEEP YOUR SPEED LOW near schools and youth clubs.

Our Commitment: Over the next few weeks, we will be running dedicated Road Safety sessions to help our young people navigate the roads safely and hopefully have some input from other organisations and services.

As old as it is, this video is a tough watch, but it’s a necessary reminder of why speed limits matter. Let’s work together to keep our kids safe.
