MYTH: “If I die without a Will, everything will automatically go to my partner.” ❌

This is one of the biggest misconceptions we hear.

If you’re unmarried and not in a civil partnership, your partner does not currently have an automatic right to inherit your estate under the intestacy rules in England and Wales.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve:
🏡 Lived together for years
❤️ Built a life together
👨‍👩‍👧 Had children together
💷 Shared household finances

Without a valid Will, the law decides who inherits according to a set order of relatives, and that may look very different from what you would have wanted.

💡 A Will puts those decisions back in your hands.

It allows you to clearly record who you want to benefit from your estate and helps provide greater certainty for the people you care about.

Don’t rely on assumptions when it comes to something this important.
Make your wishes clear. 💜

Somewhere along the way, a question stops getting asked. Not by anyone else, by you.

What do I actually enjoy? What do I want, for myself?

Caring rarely arrives with a start date. It builds quietly, out of love, until most conversations about you are actually conversations about someone else.

You're still there. Just more often as "the carer" than as you.

Our latest blog is about finding your way back to yourself, not through a big life overhaul, but through small, ordinary things you'd almost forgotten you liked. 💛
