HRCMCC Spring Circuit Championship Round 8
Race Report

Round 8 of our championship saw extremely close and clean racing from all of our drivers. We had a visit from the BattCave boys or Matthew Smithson RC and Shaun Batt and also a visit from LMP national driver Richard Sodeau . The track layout consisted of a tight and technical first section backed up with a faster flowing section towards the end of the lap . The club's new Bluetooth speakers recently installed by Club Chairman Adam Mackman provided great and clear audio for all of our drivers . The club's decision to go fully Bluetooth will reduce the amount of wires and reduce the chance of interference .

In the minis . Matthew Smithson and Shaun batt took on some of the clubs top drivers . Such as Daniel Burks , Aiden Monk , Jamie Wicks (who has recently started racing minis at the club) and Andrew Wattam who has recently made his return to racing. Matthew and Shaun took the 1-2 with Dan and Aiden in 3rd and 4th . While Jamie and Andy took the two remaining positions. In the B-final the battle was between the two of Leo and Steve . Leo came out victorious while Chaz took the final remaining podium place . The two juniors of Tilly and Melissa took the final two places .

In LMGT3 it was a win for Club Chairman Adam Mackman with his Awesomatix car . Mark Burton took 2nd position with another strong result for Tom Reedman who finished in third place . Chris Whiteside and Ross Smythe took 4th and 5th in the A final . A strong result for everyone. In the B final , Fin Reedman took the win from Michael Burks and Adam Betts .

In the Truck class Dan staite took the win from Aidan Mitchell . Curran attewell rounded out the podium while the tatlow duo of Logan Dean and Neil took 4 and 5th position.

To round the night we saw two fantastic finals . In the B-final we saw a 4 way battle for the win with Paul Chapman taking the win as he continues his LMP journey. Mark Morley taking second spot with Matt Spinks-Carter rounding out the podium. Jason Barwick finishing in 4th position. In the A final we saw a great race between Aaron Morley , Chase Mackman and Tom Penn . The three of them went wheel to wheel with Aaron taking the win on the very last corner on the last lap . Chase took second place on his return after a few weeks off and tom penn finishing in a strong third place

We had a great night's racing on Wednesday. Let's hope we see you there next week for round 9 !

Race Report - HRCMCC Spring Circuit Championship 2026: Week 6

So as we hit the mid point of the series the championship standings are becoming clearer.

In the Tamiya Trucks class Dan Staite leads the way with a 9 point lead from Aidan Mitchell and Logan Tatwell holding down the third spot.

In Mini Brushless Andy Wattam leads the way from Leo Dobney. Rob Myers and Jamie Wicks further back with missed rounds and will be in the final championship picture.

The LMGT3 class is continuing to be very popular with 15 different drivers so far this championship. Aiden Monk leading the way with Mark Burton lurking in second needing another qualifying round.

In LMP12 Aaron Morley remaining on top spot from Mark Morley in second. With Dan Burks and Tom Penn needing more rounds to count the picture may change im coming weeks.

Race Report - HRCMCC Spring Circuit Championship 2026: Week 4

Tamiya Trucks proving very close once again with Aidan Mitchell returning to the top qualifying spot by just 0.6 seconds from Dan Staite. Dan Staite reclaiming top spot in the final with Aidan and Curran completing the podium.

In Mini Brushless Jamie Wicks put two clear laps on the field in his first outing with his new Batcave. In the final Leo Dobney came through from 6th to 2nd with a composed performance.

The LMGT3 class saw Aiden Monk in impressive form in qualifying taking Tq by half a lap. The A final saw David Elms return to the top spot from Aiden and Chris Whiteside. Fin Reedman rounding out the A final with good consistent performances through the evening.

In LMP12 Aaron Morley returned to TQ by just 0.4 seconds. A lights to flag victory following in the final from Dan Burks and Tom Penn rounding out the podium.

Race Report - HRCMCC Spring Circuit Championship 2026: Week 3

Tamiya Trucks proving very close once again with Dan Staite taking TQ and the final win. Paul and Aiden completing the podium once again. Rumours has it Paul is retiring from Trucks so who will step up to the podium next time out.

In Mini Brushless, Robert Myers once again took a perfect score taking TQ and the win. Leo Dobney returning to the A final and showing some good pace also 💪.

The LMGT3 class was the one to watch from the off with the top three being seperated by 0.03secs in the last qualifying run. The final saw Mark Burton return to winning form although Aiden Monk appears to have found serious pace in his Destiny DTY12S. Definitely the class to watch on the night.

In LMP12, the whole field were shocked with consistent runs from Dan Burks once again claiming pole. Aaron Morley came through to a hard fought win in the final from a recovering Dan Burks and Tom Penn claiming the final podium spot.

Race Report - HRCMCC Spring Circuit Championship 2026: Week 2

In the Tamiya Trucks Aidan Mitchell took a convincing win to follow up on a strong qualifying following close behind, Paul Chapman and Dan Staite. The midfield battle saw Curran Attewell narrowly miss out on a 20-lap run, while Logan Tatlow and Neil Tatlow rounded out the field after consistent performances.

In Mini Brushless, Robert Myers dominated the meeting taking maximum points. Chaz Blake on his first visit to Holbeach completing the podium.

The LMGT3 class saw Mark Burton maintain his form with another perfect 200 score. Tom Reedman with a good showing in the final and Aiden Monk rounding out the podium.

In LMP12, the competition remained close between Aaron Morley and Chase Mackman through the night. Dan Burks nicking the top spot in qualifying and the final on the last laps of each. Consensus being a full moon must have been out to allow a rare Burks 200 score.
