Fenland Heritage Network is an informal group of organisations with the common aim of promoting local heritage.

The network is open to all organisations across the region including museums, libraries, local history groups and archaeology societies.

Are you interested in delving deeper into our local history?

Everyone is welcome to attend 'Spalding: A Study in Local History' on Saturday 28th November.

The event is organised by Spalding Gentlemen’s Society and supported by the University of Leicester and the Fenland Heritage Network. It will be held at Ayscoughfee Hall Museum.

“This workshop is open to all – no matter your skills or experience – as a hands-on experience learning to read and transcribe a selection of modern documents from Spalding’s history,” says organiser Dr Gabby Storey.

Roman cremation urn found near Sacrewell, Peterborough.

An 'awesome' cremation urn was the big find at an archaeological dig in Cambridgeshire, which was a new attempt to locate a Roman villa.
