Spalding Lions today arranged for approximately 90 SEN Children with their school Carers and Teachers to attend the Fair in Spalding. This was made possible thanks to Roger and Sophie Tuby And Daughter Sophia who open up the rides with lights and music with the speed of the big rides turned down slightly. This day gives all these children a chance to enjoy the atmosphere and excitement, which we all just take for granted.

We had a lovely surprise visit from our District Governor Ian Constable.

DG Ian knew from attending our Charters, taking in all the information from our Speeches, that he had to come and see for himself what a special day this is for these Children and for Spalding Lions, we did have to hold him back from jumping on the train ride and the Bumper Cars.

Our Local Councillor Jan Whitbourn also came along to show her support.
Spalding Lions are one of her local charities during her term in service. She comes along to all our Events throughout the year where her busy schedule allows.

Spalding Lions consider ourselves to have the honour and privilege with Roger, Sophie and Sophia Tuby and Councillor Jan Whitbourn to be able to give all these children a special day. The rides they are allowed to go on as many times as they wish and the screams and shrieks of laughter can be heard everywhere.

Due to many difficulties with Data protection pictures, sadly we are unable to process many of these to our page today.
