Massive thanks to the crew at Southsea Fire Station for welcoming our Beavers on site last week. They had a brilliant time learning about the appliances and equipment used to save lives. Using water cannons were a highlight ❤️‍🔥

The Cubs have been active inside and out recently.
A few weeks ago they visited Farlington Marshes and were set challenges including:
🦆Spot three different birds
🎶Make a musical tune from reeds and blades of grass
🐾Find animal tracks
🌊What how the water moves around the marshes.
‼️Stand still for a 1 minute and see what changes! Probably the hardest challenge of all 😉

⛳And this week they had fun inside with mini golf. Lot of obstacles to contend with and 'Hole in one' scores were rare!

Last week our Beavers had a great session working on a Scrapheap Challenge - who could build a machine to launch a tennis ball the furthest? Two groups managed to get the ball the whole length of the room! Quite a feat.

Last week our Cubs did a Scavenger hunt on the Hot Walls beach, as part of their Adventure badge.
They had to find a number of items including:
🖌A piece of art
🐚A shell
🔎A stone with a hole in.
They also enjoyed a stone skimming competition.
And who can spot our Explorers heading out to sail?
