The Pride of Portsmouth lion trail is taking shape 🦁✨

We’re excited to announce the 47 shortlisted artists for the Pride of Portsmouth lion art trail. From emerging talent to established creatives, each artist brings a unique vision inspired by a shared connection to Portsmouth and a passion for creativity and inclusion.

All shortlisted designs will be showcased at a free public exhibition at Aspex Portsmouth from 12–22 February, running throughout February half term. Come along, explore the designs up close, and discover the creativity that will be brought to life on lion sculptures across the city this summer.

KITTEN UPDATE!! 🐱🐈‍⬛
The lovely little kitten that our team found stuck on the first floor ledge of Portsmouth Guildhall has officially been adopted by our Duty Manager Gilly… everybody meet Jiji!

We are so pleased that she has found a forever home and is officially part of the Guildhall family 🩵

A nice little Christmas story from the team at the Guildhall... last night, as customers were arriving for a concert, we spotted what we first thought was a black hat on a first-floor ledge… until we heard tiny cries. Turns out it was this little kitten! ❤️

Huge shout-out to Gaz from security who carefully rescued her from the ledge. After some well-earned cuddles with the team and a good feed, duty manager Gilly took her to a local vets to get checked over.

The vets confirmed she’s a healthy little girl, not chipped, and she’ll be staying with them for a few days. If she’s not claimed, one of our team is hoping to give her a forever home 🥹

The sea defences near Southsea Castle were finished last year, and exciting thing — the new promenade between the Hovercraft and the Blue Reef Aquarium will open this coming spring! Soon, you’ll be able to enjoy a beautiful walk all the way from Old Portsmouth to South Parade Pier.
