As a registered, independently-run charity (RCN 1022119) Havens Hospices relies heavily on the generosity of its supporters through kind donations. We must raise over £100,000 every week to continue caring at both Fair Havens Hospice and Little Havens Hospice. There are a number of ways you can fundraise for Havens Hospices from taking part in our events, holding a fundraising event, or leaving a legacy. Every gift no matter how large or small means so much to the adults, children, young adults and families who rely on our love and care every day

When a robin appears, a loved one is near 💙

Our Robins of Remembrance are returning this winter with a beautiful new bespoke design, offering a special way to remember someone you love and celebrate their life.

Throughout December, our Christmas trees at Little Havens and Fair Havens Hospice will be decorated with these special robins, each dedicated to someone dearly missed.

If you dedicate a robin, we will hang one on our tree in memory of your loved one and send you a matching decoration to hang on your own Christmas tree at home.

Every robin is a lasting tribute to someone special, while helping us continue providing compassionate care and support to local families when they need it most.

Dexter’s Halloween display returns bigger than ever! 🎃

13-year-old Dexter Gallop is bringing his spooky Halloween walk-through back to Queens Road, Rayleigh, to raise £3,000 for Little Havens Children’s Hospice.

After raising over £1,700 last year, this year’s display is expanding across two houses, with Dexter’s neighbours joining in to make room for even more animatronics and decorations!

Come along on either night for a fun evening of spooky thrills and support Dexter’s fundraising.

A huge thank you to the team at Salter Demolition, who have chosen Havens Hospices as their Charity of the Year.

Havens Hospices was put forward by a member of the team whose family has been supported by the charity, which made it, in their words, a “no brainer”.

So far, the team has taken part in Race4Business and held a sweepstake for the FIFA World Cup. Next up is a Bake Off and Bake Sale rolled into one, and there are already some enthusiastic bakers who can’t wait to get started. There’s no set fundraising target, but the team is committed to raising as much as they can before the end of the year.

Ilyd, Business Support Co-ordinator, said, “A member of our team has a connection to Havens Hospices, so being able to support this wonderful charity feels very special. We were lucky enough to have recently been offered a tour of Little Havens by Faye. I was aware of the work that they do and knew of the reputation of the charity, however experiencing the welcoming nature of your team and seeing firsthand the facilities you offer exceeded my expectations. It takes a truly special team to make a space feel the way Little Havens does, and that is credit to your care and dedication to delivering outstanding support to those it matters to most.”

Our annual Insurance Industry Quiz is back next month, and we can’t wait to welcome familiar faces and new teams.

Earlier this year, the Securities Finance Charity Ball raised an incredible £10,000 for Little Havens Children’s Hospice!

In June, Adam from BTMK Solicitors and Connor from Couno IT Solutions took on one of the most gruelling golf challenges completing four full rounds of golf, 72 holes, all in a single day.

Friends for over 20 years, they chose to support Havens Hospices because our care has supported many people close to them. They set a target of £10,000, which they thought was ambitious, and raised an incredible £12,612.20 through sponsorship, donations, raffle tickets and support on the day.

Connor said: “What started as an idea between Adam and me to play 72 holes of golf became something much bigger because of the generosity of everyone who got behind us.”

Adam added: “We couldn’t have done it without our corporate sponsors and the support of our friends and family.”

Thank you, Adam and Connor and to every sponsor, friend and colleague who got behind them. The incredible amount of money raised from this challenge will help us continue to care for families in Essex!
