Another chance for us to make a difference in the environment.

Today we joined the Rochford RiverCare team on Sunday, adding to our contribution for Rotary’s

It was only a small number of us today, but pleased to have a new young helper, Evelyn, to spot and pick up the rubbish with us.

We expected rain, but luckily it all held off and despite some wind, a pleasant time to be out and making a difference!

We found mixed rubbish, including microplastics, cans, polythene, plastic and glass bottles from the edges of the River Roach.

Today we had another opportunity to join the Rochford RiverCare team on Sunday, adding to our contribution for Rotary’s

Sunday weather was bright and sunny, with a strong breeze across the river, but all in all a pleasant time to be out and making a difference!

We found mixed rubbish, including microplastics, cans, polythene, a few traffic cones and plastic bottles from the edges of the River Roach.

We had a great fundraiser for the Rotary ’End Polio Now’ initiative and charity at the fabulous Delight of India restaurant. Food, atmosphere, and service were superb!
With 42 members and friends from several clubs, we were able to raise £862 to donate.

We have begin our 2 weeks of collecting for the atTesco Extra.
It is such a great experience with so many pleasant, generous people approaching us and thankful for those that gave up so much for us all.
Well done for organising the collection rota Vanessa Cox and all the willing volunteers who are helping us to make this another great success
