21st Craigalmond Scout Group We are the South Queensferry Scouts, and we welcome everyone. We help young people aged 4-18 to develop skills for life. Are you ready to join the adventure?

We're 21st Craigalmond South Queensferry Scouts, and everyone is welcome here. We exist to make young people’s lives better, helping them to realise their full potential, and providing them with the skills they need to succeed in life. We offer fun, challenging and life-changing adventures supported by adult volunteers. You can join Scouting at any stage of your life, from 4 years old and beyond.

We make a big difference. You could too. Our adult volunteers at the 21st Craigalmond South Queensferry Scouts gain just as much as our young members. Beyond the joy of guiding young people through the Scouting adventure, you’ll find yourself having a great time, making lifelong friends, and honing new skills. Whether you can spare time occasionally or on a regular basis, every contribution is valuable, and we'll ensure to find the perfect role for you. Looking to try something new in South Queensferry?

Maybe you’ve thought about doing something different, meeting new people, learning new skills or giving a bit of time back – why not give Scouts volunteering a go?

You don’t need prior experience, and you don’t need to commit a huge amount of time. Just bring enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved.

From helping young people build confidence and learn new skills to joining in on adventures and activities, you might be surprised how rewarding it can be.

It’s a fantastic chance to see behind the scenes of an experience that will shape her future — and represent our community on the world stage!

Volunteer Leaders Needed — No Experience Required

We’re looking for caring, enthusiastic adults to join our leadership team at South Queensferry Scouts.

You don’t need to have been a Scout before — just a willingness to help young people grow, learn, and have fun.

We’re recruiting leaders for:

🌰 Squirrels (ages 4–6)
🦫 Beavers (ages 6–8)
🐺 Cubs (ages 8–10½)
🧭 Scouts (ages 10½–14)
🔥 Explorers (ages 14–18)

From games and outdoor adventures to teamwork and life skills, you’ll help young people build confidence and friendships that last a lifetime. The Scout programme aims to give young people “fun, adventure and skills for life.”

✔ One evening per week

One of our own, Blythe, has been selected to represent the UK at the 26th World Scout Jamboree Polska 2027 — a once-in-a-lifetime global event bringing together tens of thousands of young people from around the world! 🇵🇱

Even more exciting, she’ll also be the only member from our group attending the Icelandic National Jamboree this summer 🇮🇸

We’re incredibly proud of her achievement, and her journey is only just beginning. Over the coming months, Blythe will be sharing her experiences — from selection and training to fundraising and preparations — in her own words.

Thank you to everyone who came along to our Scout Hall Showcase and helped make it such a lovely, lively morning yesterday. It was fantastic to see so many families and community members pop in, try activities, and enjoy what the hall has to offer.

A very big thank you to our regular lets and neighbour, whose enthusiasm and support made the event a real success:

And a special thank you to our hire team and volunteers for hosting, supporting, and keeping everything running smoothly throughout the event.
