The best time to watch is after midnight and into the early hours of 13 August. Find a dark, quiet spot, get comfortable, look up and let the sky do the rest. ❤️

Yesterday was filled with community warmth, great connections, and a couple of extra special moments:
🙌 Welcome, Haneen ! We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Hanin, who jumped right in as a volunteer serving our customers with a warm smile and taking orders like a pro. We’re so happy to welcome you to the AJ Cafe family!

🎉 Celebrating Razina: We also gathered for a sweet send-off for Razina, who is moving on to a new department after an incredible 18+ years with Slough Borough Council. Thank you for all your dedication, Razina, and we wish you all the absolute best in your next chapter! 🥂

Would you like to make a real difference in your community?

AJ Café is looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to help run our café and support the many community projects we deliver. Whether you can spare a few hours a week or more, your time could have a huge impact.

Volunteering with AJ Café is a chance to:

🎉 Celebrating Our Little Boss’s 1st Birthday! 🎂✨
Last Thursday was such a special and beautiful day as we celebrated baby Ely turning ONE! 🎈
Ely is truly our VIP guest and our little boss he has been right here growing alongside us since the very day he was born. Watching him hit this milestone surrounded by so much love was absolute magic. ❤️
To make the day even more meaningful, we hosted our Come Dine With Us project, where we cooked and served delicious meals for our wonderful community. Being able to share good food, smiles, and laughter while honoring Ely’s big day made it an unforgettable celebration. 🍲✨
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so bright. Here’s to many more years of watching our little VIP grow! 🥳👶

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful volunteer, Manar, for her continued dedication and compassion. ❤️

Every week, Manar collects surplus food and delivers it to SHOC, helping ensure that people experiencing homelessness and those facing hardship receive much-needed support.

Her commitment is making a real difference not only by supporting vulnerable people but also by helping save perfectly good food from going to waste.

Thank you, Manar, for your kindness, generosity, and for always going the extra mile to serve our community. We are so grateful to have you as part of the AJ Café family. 💚

Behind every food collection and every food parcel is an incredible team of dedicated AJ Café volunteers who give their time, energy, and compassion to support our community. ❤️

Week after week, our volunteers collect surplus food that would otherwise go to waste and ensure it reaches those who need it most. Together, we support families facing hardship and women and children at the Burnham Refugee Centre who have fled domestic abuse.

Their commitment not only helps feed people in need but also saves tonnes of perfectly good food from ending up in landfill, making a positive impact on both our community and the environment.

To every AJ Café volunteer thank you. Your kindness, dedication, and selfless commitment make a real difference every single week. We couldn't do this without you. 💚
