We currently meet on Wednesdays twice a month at 8 pm to discuss club projects in the Burnham and Farnhams areas as well as internationally.

Burnham Beeches Rotary has over 40 members drawn from a variety of professions and occupations. Members are involved in many social and community projects and new ideas are always welcomed. Rotarians are enthusiastic, fun-loving and active volunteers who give their time and talents to serve communities both at home and overseas. They are dedicated men and women from business and professions, who share a common interest in helping others.

PURPLE FOR POLIO A team from Burnham Beeches Rotary were busy today planting purple crocus corms around the pond in Burnham. ROYAL BRITISH LEGION POPPY APPEAL Rotarian Jenny helped out with the collection at Beaconsfield Services on Tuesday. Other members will also be assisting on different days. We will also be taking part in the remembrance events locally.

President Gareth Richards represented Windsor St George at Rotary Club of Maidenhead meeting on Monday, joining President Maria Scavetta and Burnham Beeches Rotary President Gareth Hopkins.

A massive shoutout to our member Lexy Kassan for an engaging talk on AI in everyday life and work, sparking plenty of great questions.

DICTIONARIES FOR LIFE Every year Burnham Beeches Rotary donate these books to year five pupils at local schools. Louise Dance recently presented them at St Peter’s School Burnham. Many thanks to the Slough Public Hall Trust and the Rotary Foundation for sponsoring this initiative.

PARKINSONS UK FUNDRAISER Rotarian Keith and wife Glynne both completed the Royal Parks Half Marathon this Sunday raising £1300 for Parkinson’s UK. Just two weeks after the Berlin Marathon it was a hard effort but very worthwhile raising donations for an excellent cause. Many many thanks to all the supporters.

MAIDENHEAD BOUNDARY WALK 629 walkers, 33 charities. More than £20,000 raised! What a way to celebrate 100 years of Rotary in Maidenhead! Well done to Maidenhead Bridge Rotary Club. Burnham Beeches Rotary President Gareth took part walking 21 kilometres. Great work Gareth.

A GREAT AFTERNOON The Farnhams Orchard Day was blessed with lovely weather. We had lots of visitors and an afternoon full of fun things to do. A great success!
