Have your say on our new approach to accommodation-based and community-based care.

Shropshire Council is developing a new approach to accommodation-based and community-based care. This work is part of our wider transformation programme. It also supports the development of the new All Age Accommodation Support and Community Based Care Frameworks, which set out agreed ways of working.

We want these services to help people stay independent, safe and in control. This work also helps us follow the Care Act and the Procurement Act 2023. Your feedback will help us to plan and purchase new services for the future. This consultation is open until 17 May 2026.

We’ve got some amazing news.

We’ve been offered a £5,000 grant from The Access Foundation.

Massive thank you to The Access Foundation for believing in this project and what we’re trying to build here in Shrewsbury.

It means a lot.

There is one condition though.

To unlock the funding, we need to raise £10,000 ourselves within the next 3 months.

Right now, we’re at £4,784.

(You’ll see £5k on the page – that includes the grant being pledged. What we need to do now is close the gap.)

This is a big moment for Spectrum.

If you’ve been thinking about supporting, this is the time.

Every donation helps unlock that £5k and moves us closer to opening the space.

And if you can’t donate right now, sharing this genuinely helps more than you might think.

We’ve come a long way already.

Let’s finish this part together.

Well… that’s it.

We asked, and the response was overwhelming.

In just a few days, over 100 people shared what having a space like Spectrum would mean to them.

Now it’s not just my voice behind this, it’s a whole community.

The Crowdfunder is now live to help bring Spectrum, a permanent community gaming and creative space in Shrewsbury, into reality.

If this resonates with you, a share or a contribution would mean the world.
