𝟯𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝘆 𝗙𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻!
What a wonderful afternoon we had yesterday celebrating 30 years of the Roy Fletcher Centre!
It was a real pleasure to welcome so many friends, supporters, volunteers, trustees and representatives of local charities who have been part of the Centre's story over the past three decades.
We were especially pleased to welcome Libby Cooper, daughter of Roy Fletcher and a member of the Roy Fletcher Charitable Trust. It was particularly fitting to have Libby with us as we celebrated the lasting legacy of her father's vision.
We were also delighted to be joined by three distinguished civic guests:
• Cllr Bernie Bentick, Mayor of Shrewsbury
• Heather Kidd - Chirbury & Worthen Division, Leader of Shropshire Council
• Katy Tanner DL, High Sheriff of Shropshire
We are very grateful to them for helping us mark this special occasion.
From Roy Fletcher's original vision in 1996 to the Centre we know today, our purpose remains the same: providing a welcoming and affordable home for local charities and organisations supporting people across Shrewsbury and beyond.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us, everyone who helped organise the celebration, and the many people who have contributed to the Centre's success over the past 30 years.
📸 Here are just a few photographs from a truly memorable afternoon!
