Polocrosse provides The Pony Club with a team competition requiring courage, determination and all-round riding ability.

Polocrosse provides The Pony Club with a team competition requiring courage, determination and all-round riding ability on the part of the rider and careful and systematic training of the pony. It encourages a higher standard of riding throughout The Pony Club and to stimulate among the future generation a greater interest in riding as a sport and as a recreation. It is suitable for ordinary children on ordinary ponies and encourages a strong and unselfish team spirit.

What a great day of filming!

A huge thank you to Hannah and Alfie for being absolutely stars in front of the camera and Natalie and Nic for their hard work behind it! (We even inspired Nic to have a quick go himself as you can see).

Now comes the editing stage so we can put together some great videos and help lots more members learn and improve polocrosse racquet skills!

24/10/2026

We are very excited today because we are filming with the brilliant Hannah and Alfie for some new skills videos to help more Pony Club members try polocrosse and improve their skills more easily!

Hannah has travelled from Essex to South Wales and Alfie has quickly shrugged off his jetlag from his recent trip to Australia to be our brilliant skills demonstrators for the day and with Nic behind the camera and Natalie in the director's chair we are sure it is going to look great!

Well done to all the players in the Under 16's test match series.

Congratulations to Australia for their victory but a huge well done to the Barbarians team for their efforts and fighting to the very end. It is always hard to go and play abroad and have to get used to a pool of horses and new team mates very quickly but you put in some great performances over the three test matches!

And particularly to our four UK members in Maggie, Perdy, Alfie and Oliver a huge well done, you did us very proud and we hope you enjoyed your time in Australia!

18/10/2026

Well done to the Barbarians for levelling up the test series in game 2 of the series! A brilliant result! Game 3 today!

17/10/2026

Well done to Australia for their win in the first test and well done to the Barbarians, including our four UK players, for their battling performance on unfamiliar horses, against probably the best junior team in the world on their home turf! We look forwards to the second test today!

15/10/2026

Good luck to all the players competing in this event but particularly the four UK players (and Pony Club members) who have travelled out there to take on the Australian team!

They are:

Perdy Gale (Burghley)
Maggie Clark (South Shropshire Pony Club)
Alfie Vollans (Llangeinor)
Oliver Hayes (North Warwickshire)

Good luck, we know you will do us proud and we will try and tune in to watch you tomorrow morning and over the weekend!
