Scarlett's Helping Hand is an Unincorporated charitable association, we support Vulnerable and underprivileged families and children in Northumberland aged 0-18 years.

MISSING | We are issuing a new image of missing Northumberland man Paul – as we continue our investigation to locate him.

The 36-year-old was last seen at his home address near the Clayport Street area of Alnwick on Wednesday, May 13.

He was subsequently reported missing and we’ve carried out extensive enquiries have been ongoing since then, including the release of a public appeal for information.

Today we are releasing a new image of Paul, taken from CCTV in Alnwick town centre on May 13.

It is hoped that by releasing the new image this will help jog the memory of someone who may have seen him.

Paul, who also goes by the name Wadey, is described as a white man, about 5ft 11inches tall, of medium build, with brown coloured hair and brown eyes.

🍊 £114.50 worth of oranges we've donated to Shilbottle First School this morning, we recieved them off M&S surplus and they would of ended up in the bin otherwise! We had all of these left after donating to our families 🍊

Hi guys, a little boy we are supporting following a home transition has developed a new love for rugby! I'm wondering if anyone is getting rid of anything rugby related that we could pass on to him, he's age 7-8 clothes, he would be grateful for anything, thank you 💜

⚠️There will be a group search for Paul Wade this Saturday 30th May at 2:30pm, meet at the pastures in Alnwick. Discuss and search out in groups.

The half term holidays have completely wiped us out 💔

With schools breaking up, the number of families needing help has risen massively and our food bank shelves are now almost empty. We are desperate for donations to help us continue supporting local families who are struggling to put food on the table.

Any donation, no matter how small, really does make a difference. We urgently need:
🥫 Tinned foods
🍝 Pasta & rice
🥣 Cereal
🧃 Juice & long life milk
🍪 Snacks for children
🧼 Toiletries & hygiene products

We also have a fridge and freezer which can store items in.

An Alnwick Town Council Mayor’s Civic Award has been presented to a Shilbottle charitable organisation that supports local vulnerable families.

Scarlett’s Helping Hand was founded by Ashleigh Duke, her husband Benjamin and their daughter Scarlett in 2020, in response to families struggling with Christmas after the Covid lockdowns.

Since then, they have distributed thousands of donations such as emergency food parcels, baby items and household essentials.

Mayor Councillor Geoff Watson is seen presenting the award to Ashleigh and Scarlett, now age 12. Cllr Watson said “It was a pleasure to meet Ashleigh, Benjamin and Scarlett and hear how their efforts that began during the pandemic have continued to this day with support from many local businesses and individuals. This award is well-deserved.”

In return Scarlett, on behalf of her family, thanked the Mayor for the award and the recognition of the work that they do.

😩 Tonight a different charity has been to M&S and collected OUR donation. This has left us in an awful position with 3 families collecting a parcel tomorrow. We are gutted.
