🪩🎶 Summer Disco Fever at Pottergate! 🎶🪩

There were dancing shoes, big smiles and plenty of questionable dance moves on display at our Summer Disco this week! 😄💃🕺

The music was turned up, the dance floor was buzzing, and everyone had a fantastic time singing along to their favourite tunes and showing off their best moves. From start to finish, the room was filled with laughter, friendship and lots of summer fun. ☀️✨

It was brilliant to see so many people getting involved, making memories and enjoying time together. We even spotted a few future Strictly stars in the making! ⭐

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special. We’re still smiling about it and can’t wait for the next excuse to get the disco lights out! 🎵🪩

🌿✨ Welcome to the Rainforest Room! ✨🌿

Something exciting has been growing at the Centre! 🌴

We've recently given one of our rooms a complete makeover, transforming it into our brand-new Rainforest Room. With its vibrant colours and rainforest-inspired theme, it's a fantastic space that we're all excited to start using.

We can't wait to see the room filled with activities, laughter, relaxation, and fun. Keep an eye out for photos and updates as we begin our rainforest adventures! 🦋🐒🌿

We are delighted to share that the Pottergate Pantry team has successfully maintained its 5-star food hygiene rating following a recent inspection. 🎉

This achievement reflects the team's hard work, dedication, and commitment to providing a high-quality service.

A huge well done and thank you to everyone involved. We are incredibly proud of the team and all they do! 💚

🌿 Sponsored Walk Preparations Underway! 🌿

Last week, our Current Affairs Group visited The Alnwick Garden to carry out preparations for our upcoming Sponsored Walk in September.

The group has worked hard to plan a variety of walking routes to ensure the event is accessible to all of our service users, giving everyone the opportunity to take part and enjoy the day.

All funds raised will go towards our Social Amenities Fund, which helps support activities and events at the Centre throughout the year, including our Carnival and Christmas celebrations.

We would like to say a huge thank you to The Alnwick Garden for kindly allowing us to use their beautiful venue for our sponsored walk. Their support will help us raise vital funds while creating a fantastic experience for everyone involved.

We look forward to sharing more updates as we get closer to the big day! 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️💙

🎡 The Carnival Came to Pottergate! 🎡

We've been so busy recently that we're only just getting around to sharing photos and memories from our amazing Pottergate Carnival!

The idea came from our Current Affairs group, and once the suggestion was made, everyone got on board to help bring it to life. Over two action-packed days, people enjoyed everything from a Wet Sponge Throw and Staff Tug of War to Archery, Basketball, Penalty Shoot Outs, Tin Can Alley, Hook a Duck, Dart Throwing and plenty more carnival games.

Our kitchen team even became the Pottergate Scran Van, serving tasty burgers, hot dogs and pizza throughout the event.

The carnival brought lots of laughter, friendly competition and smiles, and it was wonderful to see everyone joining in. It was such a success that we're already talking about making it an annual event!

😍We would like to give our thanks to you all for sharing our last post and leaving such kind comments.
🥰We would also like to give heartfelt thanks to a very special person who called in to give us a VERY generous donation ♥️, and to our friends at Hobberlaw Plants who have very kindly donated a LOT of plants! 🌺💮
We will now be able to replace the baskets that we have had stolen, and buy lots of beautiful plants for next year!! The generosity people have shown really does mean a lot to us! 🥰😘

😔😞We are saddened to let everyone know that 2 of our beautiful hanging baskets have been stolen over the weekend.
👮🚓This has been reported to the police.
It is devastating to know people would do this without any consideration for how much it would upset us.
We have put a lot of hard work into the hanging baskets, we grow the flowers and plant them up ourselves, a lot of time and effort goes into putting them together and looking after them. We hope that whoever took them will have a think about this and return them to us. 🤞

🌟 Rhythm Stix at Barnfest! 🌟

Rhythm Stix had an amazing time performing at Barnfest at Barndale House School! 🥁🌟

The energy, smiles, and support from everyone made it such a special event for us. We loved being part of the celebration and sharing our music with such a wonderful community. 💛

A huge thank you to Barndale House School for having us - we can’t wait to come back again soon! 🙌

We had such a fantastic time drumming with the Shindiggers from the The Northstar Centre, it was such a brilliant performance full of energy, rhythm, and smiles! 🥁✨

Now we’re really looking forward to our next Rhythm Stix performance, which will be taking place this Wednesday at Barnfest - we can’t wait to share more music and good vibes with everyone! 🎶

A massive thank you to all those that came to watch The Shindiggers and The Rhythm Stix from Pottergate Centre perform at the Kelso Country and Music Festival last weekend.

This was a great weekend with loads of great bands and we were delighted to be a part of it. We all had great fun performing for everyone and it was great to see such a crowd.

If you enjoyed us and would like to see more then you do not have too long to wait! We will be performing again on the 18th of June at Northern View in aid of Haley's Sunday Sesh.
