Luhle is an 8-year-old learner with a smile that fills the whole classroom. From Day One Luhle has been known for two things: her bubbly personality and her big heart. She makes friends almost every day, and she is the kind of learner who greets everyone, asks questions, and lights up group work with her energy.
Luhle is a self-driven leaner and when she sets her mind to something, she gives it her all. She does not wait to be told twice — she wants to learn, to grow, and to do her best.
Like many young learners, Luhle has faced language barriers. English and Afrikaans sound very similar, and at first she found herself mixing the two. It would have been easy to get discouraged. But not Luhle! With encouragement and practice, she decided to tackle it head-on. She listens more carefully, she asks for help when she is unsure, and she keeps trying. Every small step forward shows the same determination we see in everything she does.
We trust and believe that Luhle can do it — and she is already proving it. Her story reminds me that being determined, brave, and willing to learn can turn any challenge into success.
