Today we had to say a very sad goodbye to our beautiful Custard, at 16 years old. 💔
Custard had FIV and, sadly, had been losing weight and deteriorating in front of our eyes. He was also deaf, had dementia, and had tumours in his stomach and intestines. We knew the kindest thing we could do for him was to let him go peacefully.

Custard was such a friendly, loving boy with a personality all of his own. ❤️ He really was such a character and brought so much joy to our lives at Compassion for Cats. He touched the hearts of so many of us and will leave a very big hole behind.

We feel incredibly lucky to have known him and to have been part of his life. He will be missed more than we can say, but we’ll always remember his funny little ways and what a special boy he was.

Sleep peacefully, Custard. You were so loved. 🐾

🐾Meet Sushi and Toast! 🐾

Looking for their forever home together, We are helping to find them a home from another rescue.

These two haven’t had the easiest start:
They were born via caesarean in May, hand reared by a team of fosterers, then became poorly.

Despite the odds being stacked against them, these two are now thriving! They love nothing more than playing together, food and cuddles. They would like to be the only cats at home to enjoy all the attention!

🐾 HELP US KEEP OUR CATS WARM THIS WINTER 🐾
Winter is approaching, and our cats will need somewhere warm, dry and cosy to shelter from the cold, rain and wind.

One of the things we desperately need is STRAW to fill their outdoor cat houses and help keep them warm and insulated.

🐾 Meet gorgeous Earl! 🐾
Earl is a beautiful 4-month-old boy with a huge personality and plenty of love to give. He’s a very playful, affectionate little chap who absolutely loves a cuddle and being around his people.

Like many young kittens, Earl can sometimes get a little too excited during play and may nip or bite. This isn’t aggressive at all: he simply needs someone patient and understanding to help him learn that biting isn’t appropriate (but this means he would need a home with no young children).

Earl would love a home with another friendly cat to keep him company and would need safe access to the outdoors as he grows.

He’s a cuddly boy who has so much potential to become a fantastic companion. He just needs the right person to give him the patience, guidance and understanding he needs as he learns and matures.

Suki and Sparkle are two beautiful 12-year-old long-haired tabbies looking for a loving forever home together.
These gorgeous girls are full of character. They can be playful and have plenty of personality, but they are also independent ladies who like to take things at their own pace. Once they learn to trust you, they’ll come to you for affection and companionship, but always on their own terms.
Suki and Sparkle have previously lived with an older dog and could also live with older children who understand the importance of giving them space and respecting their boundaries.
They are looking for a home where:
* They can stay together as a pair.
* They have access to the outdoors.
* They are the only cats in the home.
At 12 years old, Suki and Sparkle still have lots of love and fun to share. With a little patience while they settle in, these two lovely ladies could make wonderful companions for someone looking for a special pair.

This lovely pair (one handsome boy and one beautiful girl) are looking for a home where they can settle in and get to know you at their own pace. Revel is the boy and 2 years old and Tina is the girl who’s 18 months.

Revel enjoys a cuddle, but neither of them likes being picked up. They’re both happiest when they can come to you on their own terms, and with a little patience, they’ll reward you with their trust and affection.

This is the Fabulous Fred. Fred is 1 year old and is now looking for his forever home after being fostered. Ideally he needs a family with older children with lots of time to play with him as he is a high energy boy. Once he is settled in and knows where home is he would really benefit from a garden to explore. No busy roads nearby .
He's very sociable with other cats but needs a confident companion as he loves to rough and tumble and play chase at top speed!
He loves a cuddle and to snuggle up on the bed. He’s not much of a lap sitter yet but will snuggle beside you. An excellent fly catcher and loves his food (And anybody else's if he gets the chance).
