It is with heavy hearts that we give you ADVANCE WARNING of the village hall car park being CLOSED from 8pm through to 8am for a trial period. There will still be 24 hour pedestrian access.
Over the last few weeks, it has been clear that there is continued anti social behaviour happening after dark in the car park, on the cafe patio and in the recreation ground and we therefore want to attempt to deter such behaviour before any more incidences occur.
We believe there is a strong possibility that a number of vehicles are arriving from outside the village but in the meantime, if anyone has seen any suspicious behaviour or has any information for the police, please call 101 and quote the incident number: AS-20260304-0700.
Many thanks from the Village Hall Committee.

A HUGE THANK YOU to Dan Ridge and his son for cleaning up the basketball hoop and backboard yesterday and also for fitting the new net - it hasn't looked this good in years! We hope it continues to give users many more years of enjoyment. 🏀🏀🏀

As mentioned recently, the committee have a number of projects in the pipeline that are pending the outcome of various grant applications, one of which might help us to get the car park re-surfaced which would improve things further... watch this space

Such a shame to have to post this message, but please be vigilant whilst using the recreational field in the evenings or at night. We are aware that some of our extremely heavy outdoor café picnic tables have been stacked on top of each other to gain access onto the roof of the village hall and some of the new solar panels have been tampered with and potentially damaged.

Whilst investigations continue, please can you keep us informed if you see any suspicious activity whilst using the facilities. In the first instance, contact Andy North on 07853 112241 (phone/Whatsapp/text message) and leave a message if it is not answered. or if less urgent email [email protected].

Thank you
