Seahaven Baby Bank Welcome to Seahaven Baby Bank. We are a nonprofit baby and children's bank based in Newhaven. We provide clothing and equipment for 0-5 years.

We are run by a very small number of dedicated volunteers who give up their time to help others. We cover from Saltdean to Denton. Donations are always welcomed and can be accepted in Newhaven or Peacehaven. We ask that items are in good clean condition and if possible clothes are freshly washed and sorted into age ranges where possible. Items we accept

Please feel free to message us for anything that you need. Anything you receive from us has been preloved (Unless it is a new item)
It has been visually inspected prior to dispatch but not professionally serviced or tested. Please check all items provided to you as only you can decide if they are safe and suitable for you child. Please help us to help others and the environment by recycling and reusing your preloved items.

🧸 Seahaven Baby Bank – Most Wanted This Week 🧸

A huge thank you to everyone who continues to support us with donations, shares and kind words. Because of your generosity, we’re able to help local families every single week. 💙

This week we’re particularly looking for:

⭐ Pottys
⭐ Step stools
⭐ Sit-in bath seats
⭐ Boys’ clothing aged 2–5 years
⭐ New dummies
⭐ Teething toys

If you have any of these items tucked away at home and no longer need them, we’d love to give them a new home with a local family.

Donations can be dropped off during our opening sessions or just send us a message if you’d like to arrange another time.

Need a travel cot for visiting family this summer?

Before you buy one that might only be used for a few days, check with Seahaven Baby Bank first.

We have travel cots available to borrow, perfect for grandparents welcoming grandchildren, family members hosting visitors, or friends looking after little ones during the holidays.

A travel cot can be an expensive purchase for occasional use, so why not borrow one instead? It's better for your pocket and better for the planet too.

We also have other equipment available, including high chairs, potties, pushchairs and more.

There is no charge to borrow items, although donations are always gratefully received to help us continue supporting local families.

Pop us a message or visit us during opening hours to see how we can help. 💙

🎉 Come and see us today at the Denton Community Challenge! 🎉

Due to the weather, the event has moved to Denton Primary School, but the fun is still very much happening!

Seahaven Baby Bank is here with our popular Teddy Tombola. 🧸

For just a small donation, you could take home a teddy bear or soft toy while helping to support local families through the Baby Bank.

There are lots of activities taking place throughout the day, so come along, have some fun, and support your local community.

The good news is that the event is still going ahead and Seahaven Baby Bank will be there with our Teddy Tombola at Denton School. 🧸

Open 10.00 - 11.30am at Seaford Climate Hub, 4 Clinton Place, Seaford.

There’s something so special about preparing a safe, cosy first sleeping space for a baby… and we know how quickly the costs of welcoming a newborn can add up.

💜 Volunteers’ Week 2026 💜

This week we’re celebrating the amazing people who give their time to help others, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to our wonderful team of volunteers at Seahaven Baby Bank.

Behind every rail of clothing, every box of nappies and every piece of equipment ready for a new family is a volunteer who has given their time and care. They sort mountains of donated clothing, check equipment for safety, wash and clean items, organise stock, welcome visitors, answer messages and help keep everything running smoothly.

A special thank you also goes to our talented knitters and crafters who create beautiful blankets, hats, cardigans and other handmade gifts. These are always treasured by the families who receive them.

Like many charities and community groups, we simply couldn’t do what we do without volunteers. Every hour given helps us support local families with babies and children up to five years old.

We’d also like to celebrate all the volunteers across our local community. Whether you help at a food bank, community hub, sports club, school, church, charity shop or local event, thank you. You make the Seahaven area a kinder, stronger and more connected place to live.

From all of us at Seahaven Baby Bank, thank you for everything you do. ❤️
