This week management staff from across our services attended Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training with Crisp & Crane Training Ltd. The course teaches de-escalation, prevention, and safe physical intervention to help adults support vulnerable children managing trauma and focuses on prevention over reaction by creating safe environments, recognising behavioral triggers, and responding with emotional connection.
Whilst much of the week was classroom based education and workbooks there was also time to build in various role plays and breakaway techniques training. Great demonstration of team work, personal development and learning time from everyone.

Yesterday some staff from YPP & RACS services completed Level 3 Safeguarding Adults course with Neil Lee Training. With lots of group discussions and brilliant case study examples; for some it was a refresher and for some an opportunity to up-skill. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.

Some of our staff & Young People in Scarborough spent the morning discovering Makaton. The group learnt lots of words, practised together and all ended the session with a Level 1 Certificate! What a fabulous achievement! Big Thank You to Little signs, Big voices - Makaton Training Provider for delivering the session, everyone had a great time!
