We have recently welcomed single boy coconut into the rescue, he's a single pringle and wanting to mingle, sort of, he just needs 1 male piggy to call a friend. He's been alone a while now after loosing his friend. He's a chilled chap and has possibly already got a bonding planned

Naming of the pigs. When the 11 pigs arrived, only 2 girls had names. Dorothy and Anna. As the boys were whippet quick, they very quickly got named dash and flash. This leaves 9 girls with no names. Im happy to do a blind card for each and winner pics the name for the pig its for, or a sponser a pig kind of thing and you can pay to name a pig. What would people prefer. Please remember, 7 of the 9 girls are on pregnancy watch and are highly likely all to be pregnant. The 2 very small ones are around 3/4 weeks old and under 350g so it's extremely unlikely they have had a season however they will also be on pregnancy watch.
Dorothy needs to see a vet with her eye, although whatever injury she has had I do think its long healed and is no longer of any use, its also not causing any issues for her. She has however, already bagged herself a home once she has had her babies and all are weaned

Today we took in a bunch of guineas, all piggies have been living together 😭. 2 boys, 9 girls. 1 boy and 2 of the girls are around 3/4 weeks old. So the young boy and the older boy are now seperated and living as a pair. They are happy at the moment and hopefully this will continue.
The girls are ALL on pregnancy watch with 3 confirmed pregnant already. 😀

Today we had the lovely patch visit for a bonding. Now, I find the 40 to 60 minute rule quite the thing with boys. Many people say, boys will either get on or they dont. From experience, that simply isn't true in all cases. Each pig is different, meaning each bonding can be different. Patch and arthur spent most of there time ignoring each other, putting there backs to each other as if to say, I cant see you, you arent there. After 45 mins, arthur decided enough was enough and chased mouth open trying to bite patch, so he was removed very quickly. I then tried another boy, totally different from the off, amd after an hour and 20 mins. 20 mins in the carrier, they are off home to darlington together. Fingers crossed they continue to be best friends. Good luck boys.
