I nailed it this morning in Queens Park! I know the leisure centre car park gets hammered for litter but….🤣🤣🤣.
It was only a plastic toy hammer but who was the tool who chucked it into a bush?

Actually, the park was in pretty good order. Someone had already been out picking recently and the bags left next to the park bins were evidence of their good work. Thankyou 💚

I still managed to collect another 3 bags of litter though, including one full bag just from the car park. Someone likes their custard when they leave the gym (a bit weird if you ask me)…shame they can’t be bothered to put the cans and cartons in the bin.

Picked for an hour and collected 3 bags of mixed litter.

Our fantastic ‘Westfield Warriors’ community litter picking group based at The Cricketers Arms were out and about this morning and collected this mega-haul of litter from around the local area.
Local people taking pride in their local area and based out of their local community pub. This is what it’s all about.
Come on down to The Cricks on the first Sunday of every month from 11 - 12 and join in. Everyone is welcome.

Picked for an hour this morning around the Peter Street / Kirkland Street area.

Lots of ale cans in the graveyard of St Thomas’ Church.
Tbh there were lots of ale cans everywhere - from one end of Peter Street to the other!
Also a large nitrous oxide canister in the walkway to Abberley Close.

Filled 3 bags from the streets and another one from around the entrance to Queens Park which included a KFC picnic left on the grass along with makeup and an electric face fan!!

We host a community litter pick on the first Sunday of every month starting from The Cricketers Arms on Peter Street.
Great work today from our volunteers (as always!).
It’s great to see the local community helping to make our streets a better place for everyone to enjoy.
Anyone can come along and join in so we hope to see you next month 💚

Come and join our monthly community litter pick at The Cricketers Arms this Sunday morning.
We’ll be picking the streets around the pub for an hour to help make our community a cleaner, better place to live, work and belong to.

All equipment is provided. Just dress appropriately and bring gloves if you wish.

Everyone is welcome, whether a pub regular, a member of the local community or just interested in contributing to a greener, safer town!
Come and give it a go - you’ll be contributing to something fantastic.

Meet in the b**r garden on Peter Street for an 11am start.

A day off work so did an hour an a half of litter picking!

Cleared around the Peter Street area - Kirkland Street, Westfield Street including the central reservation (v**e central!) etc.

All the usual ale cans and litter - but I don’t know what’s been going on around Abberley Close - someone looks to have been having a good time 🤣🤣🤣 hmmmm!

5 bags of general litter collected in total.

The Bandstand in Victoria Park has been vandalised yet again. This is how it looks this morning. A large wheelie bin has been set alight and damaged the floor surface inside the bandstand (which has not long since been repaired after the last fire!).
