What a day! A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported our BeWell annual fundraiser. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our local community, we raised an incredible £2375 to help us create more opportunities and experiences for the people we support.

We’re especially grateful to everyone who donated, joined us on the day, helped spread the word or simply came along to show their support. Your generosity really does make a difference.

And a very special thank you to High Peak Comps, Mitsubishi Motors and our hosts at Tapton Golf Club for supporting the fundraiser and helping us make it such a fantastic day.

Together, we’re helping make a summer to remember for the people supported by BeWell! The seaside awaits....

This is your chance to share what works well, what could be improved and what support people need to manage their mental health and wellbeing in everyday life.

Your feedback will help shape the future of mental health support across Derbyshire, so if you can spare a few minutes, we'd love to hear from you.

Re: Adult Social Care Strategic Review of low-level support for people with mental ill health

This means that the Council is asking people what they think about a service before deciding whether to do things differently.

What Does This Mean for for people currently accessing or needing to access services? - Nothing. The Council must listen to what people say so you don’t need to worry. This is about current support for people with mental health needs and includes the following services:
• Derbyshire Recovery & Peer Support Service
• Derbyshire Mental Health Independent Living Service
• Derbyshire County Council’s Mental Health Enablement Service

Why is this happening?
The Council is doing this because it needs to plan for the future, as some services we pay for are due to end on 31 March 2028. The Council wants to understand:
• what support people find most helpful
• how people like to access support
• whether anything could be improved

Once completed, the Council will look at what people have said and use it to help make decisions about future services. Meanwhile, services will continue to support people as normal and there will be no changes to the support you may be receiving.
How Can You Take Part?
There are three ways to get involved.
1. We are holding in person events
2. You can complete a paper copy of the survey
You can complete a paper copy on your own, or with help from a family member. If you would like a paper copy of the survey, please contact 01629 531307. If you need help to complete this, please let them know when you speak to them.

3. You can complete a survey online: By scanning this QR code with your phone:

Your views are important to DCC and they are encouraging people to take part and have your say. The consultation will end on Sunday 23 August 2026 so please have your say.
