The Shedders had great fun making these signposts ready for Chorleywood Parish Council Village Day on Saturday11th July. They were made sustainably too as we used old floorboards to make the signage. Now onto our next commission…..

Fun family & community event in Chorleywood Village Saturday 11th July 12-4pm!

Expect music, food, stalls, a dog show and more💚🐶

We’ll have a stall at the festival and would love to see you there! Come and see us for information on how to live more greenly, make a green pledge or take away something to get you started. Our team of volunteers are always keen to chat if even if you just want to say hello or learn a little more about sustainability 🌱🌳

It kicks off this Saturday - THE GREAT BIG GREEN WEEK a celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature! There is so much to discover and get involved with.

With activity taking place all over the local area, there's plenty of opportunity to dip your toe or dive right in!

9.30-9.50: Short 'n' sharp Strength and Conditioning Zumba with Flo - fundraising for Woodoaks Farm to help landscape and wildlife recovery. £3 only - drop ins welcome.

10.00-10.45: Zumba with Flo - fundraising for Woodoaks Farm. £5 only drop ins welcome.

9.30-11.30: Woodoaks Bakehouse and Fermentary - organic and low waste approach baking that brings you fresh bakes each week at the POP UP SHOP located outside The Black Barn.

9.30-11.30: Volunteering on Golden Rose Flower Farm Golden Rose Flower Farm - come along and work alongside Flower Farmer Melanie and find out why organic British Flower Farming is the way forward.

Wednesday 10th June:

9.30-10.30 Compost Club. Ever wanted to get composting but didn't know where to start? Let compost Queen Flo Garvey and the team demystify it for you in an instant! You'll wonder why you haven't started reducing waste and improving your garden beds before!

Friday 12th June:

General Farm Volunteering: Always an enjoyable time with the brilliant volunteers completing varied tasks around the farm. A brilliant way to find purpose, make connections and be out in the fresh air. Super friendly!

We were so delighted to be invited to this special recognition evening and over the moon to receive an award for highly commended in the Community Environmental Champions category for outstanding environmental action in the community. To be amongst so many people and groups working for a more sustainable and green way of living was inspiring 🌱🍃🌳 Thank you Three Rivers District Council Cllr Reena Ranger and all who organised the awards.

At Sustainable Three Rivers our mission is to walk alongside residents to becoming more sustainable and green in the way we live. We’re on our own journey as a group and hope that we can be a friend to others looking to make the same changes. At the centre of this, is the Rickmansworth Community Garden in the centre of the town, where volunteers lovingly nurture flowers, fruit and veg. We’ve seen more pollinators in the gardens as a result and it’s just a lovely place to take time out and enjoy nature. It’s a space for all 💚🌱
