We had a great turnout for our recent 2026 Wassail event. We crowned our new King and Queen, decorated the trees with toast, tapped the trees with sticks and sang some traditional Wassail songs. Naturally we sampled last years’ delicious apple juice and cider.

Come and join us at the Chorlewywood Community Orchard Wassail Party at 6pm on Saturday 31st January.
A fun event for all the family that includes singing, swigging, sloshing, shouting, singing and hanging toast in the trees after tapping them with sticks. All this is to encourage a good harvest for 2006 … and it really works as proven by our bumper crop last year.
Park in the car park opposite Chorleywood House tennis courts. The entrance is a on the right a few metres further along the road. It is a public footpath.

Come and join the Wassail celebrations at The Chorleywood Community Orchard on 31st January at 6pm, (entrance just past Chorleywood House tennis courts). There will be cider and juices, singing and the crowning of this years Wassail King and Queen.

Another harvest complete. 4 tons of cooking, eating and crab apples were gathered with help of volunteers at The Chorleywood Community Orchard. It’s been a bumper crop this year. There are still plenty of cookers and some small eaters if you want to pick a bag full. Next step is apple juicing and cider making.

Despite the heat, everyone head a fun time at Chorleywood Village Day with many visiting The Chorleywood Community Orchard stand to take on liquid refreshments and enjoy the entertainment at the nearby music stand.
