We're absolutely delighted to announce that, thanks to the amazing support of our school community, this year's Summer Festival raised an incredible £2,149.86!

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, performed, sponsored, supplied and supported the event. It truly was a fantastic community effort and we're so grateful to everyone who helped make the day such a success.

Every penny raised will go back into supporting the children at Riccall Community Primary School, funding projects, resources and experiences that benefit them all.

💙 To Our Incredible FoRS Committee & Volunteers – Thank You! 💙

As another fantastic Summer Festival comes to an end, we'd like to say a huge THANK YOU to our own amazing FoRS committee and our volunteerig team.

Behind every stall, activity and smiling face is months of planning, organising, problem-solving and hard work all done in the small pockets of spare time that we are so grateful that people give us.

Every committee member gives up their own time alongside work, family and other commitments to make events like this possible for our school community.

We also want to thank our wider team of volunteers. Whether you helped set up, ran a stall, sold tokens, packed away or gave just an hour of your time, you made a real difference. Events like this simply couldn't happen without you.

We owe special thanks to Sarah Wilman for organising what has to be a record-breaking tombola this year, taking a mammoth amount of tokens and loved by the children!

Thank you also to Natalie Masih for organising a fantastic raffle despite not being able to attend the festival in person!

Thanks to Emmy Bailey for reaching out to our local businesses for sponsorship over the last few weeks!

Your support, enthusiasm and willingness to help has helped create another wonderful Summer Festival for our children and families.

🍎 A Huge Thank You to Our Wonderful Teachers & School Staff 🍎

Our Summer Festival wouldn't be the same without the incredible support of the teachers and staff at Riccall Community Primary School.

After a full day of teaching, so many of you stayed behind to run games, help on stalls, support activities, chat with families and make sure everyone had a brilliant evening.

Your enthusiasm and commitment to our school community never goes unnoticed and we are so grateful that you continue to support FoRS events year after year.

Our thanks especially go to Mrs Sutherland for organising and running the hugely popular 'Adopt a Teddy' stall, to Mrs Northern, Mrs Main, Mrs Smith, Mrs Turner and Mrs Gray for always giving up time to volunteer on our stalls or man the inflatables, to Mr Flatman for lending us his incredible sense of fun, occasion and skills 'beyond compère' on the mic and finally to Mr Llewellyn whose long hours at our events is so appreciated and who is always happy to let the committee take over the school in the name of raising vital funds!

Thank you for helping us create such a special evening for our children. We hope you managed to enjoy it too! ❤️

Seeing our school field full of smiling faces and families enjoying time together is exactly what the Riccall School Summer Festival is all about.

By coming along and supporting the event, you've also helped FoRS continue to raise valuable funds that will benefit every child at Riccall Community Primary School. We will have a grand fundraising total for you very soon!

📢 Festival Rules – Please Read Before You Arrive 🎉

We're excited to welcome everyone to the Summer Festival! To help everyone have a safe and enjoyable evening, please remember:

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Children remain the responsibility of their parent or carer at all times. While you'll see lots of FoRS volunteers around the site, they are there to run stalls and help the event run smoothly – they are not responsible for supervising children. Please ensure your children stay with you, or another responsible adult, throughout the event.

🎈 VIP Bounce Bands give children unlimited access to the inflatables during the festival. However, all children are expected to queue patiently, wait their turn and follow the instructions of the volunteers so everyone gets a fair chance to enjoy them.

🗑️ Please use the bins provided and help us keep our school grounds clean and tidy.

🎟️ FoRS Fun Tokens can only be used at FoRS-run stalls and activities. Our food vendors and the Beard & Barrel Bar will accept cash and/or card payments directly.

🍺 If you're enjoying a drink from the bar, please drink responsibly and be considerate of other festival-goers.

🕢 The festival finishes at 7:30pm. Please leave the school site promptly at the end of the event so our volunteers can safely begin clearing away.

The countdown is on! Here's what to bring with you to make the most of the Summer Festival:

✅ Your festival wristbands (if you've collected them in advance)
🎟️ Your Fun Tokens (if you've already purchased them)
💳 Cash or card for our fantastic food vendors and bar
🪙 Extra money if you'd like to buy more Fun Tokens during the evening
🪑 Set up your space with some camping chairs or a blanket and relax
😊 Your biggest smile and your festival spirit!
