🎉 That’s a wrap on HAF Summer 2026!☀️🙌

Last week we finished our Woodrow HAF programme, and today our Matchborough HAF came to an end after its extra fourth week.

Across both centres, we had 801 HAF session places booked over the summer, with children joining us for days full of sports, arts and crafts, cooking, gaming, activities, challenges and plenty of fun.

It’s been brilliant seeing familiar faces returning, welcoming new children through the doors, and watching friendships grow over the summer.

A huge thank you to all of the children and families who joined us, and an especially big thank you to our incredible staff team. They have worked tirelessly throughout the summer, constantly going above and beyond to make sure children are safe, supported, included and having the best possible time. We genuinely couldn’t do any of this without them. 💙

And now, after a very busy summer, Your Ideas is taking a very well-earned rest!😴☀️

We’ll be back in September, when our clubs, school and Alternative Provision all return and we get ready for another busy year ahead.

📢 We're delighted to announce two 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗗, developed in partnership with Learning Services Worcestershire🎉🎉

Starting this September, these 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 courses are designed to help you build your confidence and improve your understanding of the SEND system and a range of neurodiverse conditions whilst connecting with others who truly understand the journey.

✅ 𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗗 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
A 5-week online course to help you better understand the SEND system and the support available.
✅ 𝗡𝗲𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻
A 10-week course, available both online and face-to-face, exploring a range of neurodiverse conditions and inclusive approaches.

These supportive and informative courses provide a welcoming space to learn, share experiences, and gain valuable knowledge to help you advocate for your child.

HAF WEEK 3 ✅

That’s Week 3 complete, and for our Woodrow HAF sessions it also brings this summer’s programme there to a close.

Over the last 3 weeks, the Woodrow team have delivered 323 booked places across the programme. 💙

What’s been really special for us is seeing how naturally the HAF sessions have built on the work we already do in Woodrow throughout the year.

For many of the young people, this isn’t just somewhere they’ve visited for the holidays. It’s a place they know, with staff they recognise, routines they understand and a team that is there consistently.

That familiarity and trust has made a real difference, and it’s been brilliant to see young people coming in, getting involved, trying new activities, making friends and simply enjoying being part of something in their own community.

A huge thank you to the Woodrow team for the energy, care and commitment they’ve brought every day, and to all of the young people and families who have joined us over the summer.

Although HAF has now finished in Woodrow, our work there continues. We’ll be back in September with our regular three times a week youth clubs for young people in Woodrow, with plans to grow the offer even further from our wonderful purpose built youth and community centre.

Meanwhile, Matchborough still has one final week of HAF to go next week, so we’re not quite finished yet! 🙌

We’re incredibly proud of what continues to grow in Woodrow and, most importantly, proud that local young people have somewhere they can keep coming back to. 💙

That’s Week 2 wrapped up! ☀️💙

Another fantastic week of HAF Holiday Clubs has come to an end across Matchborough and Woodrow, and what a week it’s been!

From sports, cooking and arts & crafts to gaming, pool, team challenges, water fights, treasure hunts, and enjoying the sunshine, our clubs have been full of fun, laughter and smiling faces. It’s been brilliant to see so many children and young people making new friends, trying new activities and making the most of their summer holidays.

A huge thank you to our incredible staff, volunteers and everyone who helps make our HAF programme such a success. We couldn’t do it without you.

We can’t wait to do it all again next week! 🌞

A huge thank you to Alison from Bound Together CIC for joining us at our Spectrum clubs yesterday evening and again today.

Alison shared a selection of story books based around emotions and feelings, which our young people really enjoyed and sparked some lovely conversations throughout the sessions.

She also brought along some sensory toys and calming lighting, creating a relaxed, calm and magical environment for everyone to enjoy.

Thank you, Alison, for giving up your time to support our young people. We loved having you with us and hope to see you again soon. 💙
