***** WE ARE NOW SORTED! THANK YOU *****

🚗 Can Anyone Help Us? 🚗
We’re looking for someone who might be able to help transport our very poorly responder car to Rubery so it can be assessed. At the moment it’s not driveable, so it will need either towing or moving on a transporter.
We need to find out whether it can be repaired or if we need to step up our efforts to fund a replacement. Having both of our responder cars up and running is really important so we can reach more people when they need us most. ❤️‍🩹🚑
If you or someone you know might be able to help, please get in touch. Any assistance would be hugely appreciated!

Studley First Responders were out at Coughton School this evening, offering valuable advice on how to use a defibrillator, perform CPR, and call 999 in an emergency. 💚 🚑
Participants even had the chance to try CPR themselves and practise with a training defibrillator — fantastic hands‑on experience!
This is just one of the many important roles our amazing volunteers carry out to help keep our community safe.

🚑🚨 URGENT APPEAL – THIS IS BEYOND DISGUSTING 🚨🚑

Early hours. Derby city centre.
A Hatton and District Community First Responders, dispatched by East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS), is outside his car actively treating a patient in the open while backing up an EMAS ambulance crew.

While he’s focused on keeping someone alive… someone steals his response bag.

Let that sink in.

🎒 A £3,000+ medical kit
⚡ A defibrillator
📊 Monitoring and airway equipment

Gone.

Not stolen from a boot after the job.
Not nicked off a doorstep.
Taken while a volunteer was treating a patient.

That responder is 20 years old. A volunteer. Responding to EMAS 999 calls on behalf of Hatton and District Community First Responders.
That bag was his entire ability to respond.
And now the area is left without dedicated CFR cover.

This isn’t inconvenience.
This is patients waiting longer.
This is one less lifesaver on the road.

And for what? Absolute nothing.

There’s no spare kit sat around. No magic cupboard. These bags are funded by donations and goodwill.

To get operational again, Hatton and District Community First Responders need to raise £1,950 to replace:
🎒 Response bag
⚡ Defibrillator
📊 Monitoring equipment
🧴 Consumables

So yes, we’re launching a fundraising appeal. Because the community loses when idiots do this.

Stealing lifesaving kit from a volunteer responding for EMAS at 4am.
That’s not cheeky.
That’s vile.

⭐ A week to go before our CFR vacancy closes – could this be your moment? ⭐

If you missed our post last week, we’re recruiting Volunteer Community First Responders (CFRs) to support West Midlands Ambulance Service 🚑 Looking for a new challenge in 2026? Volunteering as a CFR is a rewarding way to make a real difference in your local community.

CFRs are trained members of the public who, when available and in their own time, respond to emergency 999 calls across urban and rural areas. Full medical training is provided by West Midlands Ambulance Service.

🗣 Regional Community Response Manager, Tim Cronin, said:
“Maybe you’ve added ‘volunteering’ to your list of New Year’s resolutions? If so, this position could not be more perfect. We’re recruiting CFRs at multiple locations across the region and are looking for kind, compassionate people who are committed to helping others in their local community.”

We welcome applicants from across the West Midlands, particular in:
📍 Stoke & Staffordshire
📍 Coventry & Warwickshire
📍 Shropshire
📍 Worcestershire
📍 Herefordshire

A huge THANK YOU to Coughton Choir! 🎶✨
Last night at the beautiful Moat House, they held their third Carol Concert—and it was standing room only! What an incredible evening filled with festive music and community spirit. 🎄
This was the third Christmas concert they’ve organised to raise money for Alcester and Studley First Responders, and we are so grateful for their continued support. The venues also sold mince pies and mulled wine to boost the fundraising total—what a lovely festive touch! 🥧🍷
We’ll share the final amount raised once the numbers are confirmed, but it’s looking very good so far! 🙌
Thank you to everyone who attended and supported this wonderful event—you’ve truly made a difference. 💚

A massive THANK YOU to Julie Summers and her amazing team! 🎄💃
On 5th December, they organised a wonderful Christmas Tea Dance at Studley Village Hall, bringing festive cheer and community spirit to everyone who attended. Thanks to their hard work and generosity, they raised an incredible £376.80 for us! 🙌
We’re so grateful for all the effort that went into making this event such a success. Your support means the world to us—thank you for helping make a difference! 💚
