Tomorrow is the big day! 👣
🚶‍♂️ The BIG YMCA Walk | Cardiff to Redditch 🚶‍♀️

From 6th-10th September, a team of YMCA Worcestershire staff and residents will be taking on an incredible five-day walking challenge from YMCA Cardiff to YMCA Worcestershire in Redditch to raise funds for people living in our Housing & Support services.

What makes this challenge even more special is that it was inspired by one of our residents, who wanted to give something back to the service that has supported him through some of life's toughest moments. His idea has grown into a shared journey of determination, resilience, and community spirit.

Every day, we support people as they overcome challenges, build confidence, and work towards a brighter future. This walk represents that journey, with staff and residents taking each step together in support of opportunities that can make a lasting difference.

Funds raised will help provide: 💙 Life skills development
💙 Mental health support
💙 Education and training opportunities
💙 Employability support
💙 Health and wellbeing activities

As our team prepares to take on the miles between Cardiff and Redditch, we'd be grateful for any support you can give.

Have you signed up to tackle youth homelessness yet?

One night can make a lifetime of difference!

📅 Saturday 17th October 2026 | 7pm – 7am

Sleep Easy gives you the chance to swap your bed for a cardboard box and spend one night outdoors in a safe, supported environment. While it can’t replicate the true reality of homelessness, participants make a powerful impact by giving up their comfort for one night to help change someone else’s future.

Every pound raised through Sleep Easy directly supports young people in Worcestershire who are experiencing homelessness. Your fundraising helps YMCA Worcestershire provide safe accommodation for 16–25-year-olds, along with personalised support to build skills, confidence and a brighter future.

📱💻 Building digital skills and opportunities at Willow Trees!

Thanks to the generous donation of 19 laptops from YMCA Europe and the HP HOPE Initiative, our Digital Hub continues to support both our service users and the wider community with access to technology and online resources.

These laptops are helping people to write CVs, search and apply for jobs, complete training and assignments, explore new qualifications, and develop their digital skills and confidence.

The Digital Hub remains available at Willow Trees Community Centre, with community members welcome to speak to our reception team to find out how they can access the facilities and support available.

This investment continues to make a real difference by helping to break down barriers to digital inclusion, creating opportunities for learning, employment, and personal development across our community.

A huge thank you to YMCA Europe and HP for their ongoing support. Together, we're helping people build skills, confidence, and brighter futures. 💙
