On Saturday 29th August, WCDA will be hosting a Community Cook Off. Between 11am and 4pm, in the area out the front of the South Reading Community Hub on Northumberland Avenue (where the WCDA café is, 252 Northumberland Avenue, RG2 7QA), up to 10 teams from the local community groups will be showing off their cooking skills. There’ll be a DJ, a family fun day, and, of course, loads of tasty food available. It should be a really good way to end the summer holidays.

The police are hoping to encourage more people to get involved in local neighbourhood watches in the area, and they can have a real impact on crime in an area.
