SERV Kent is a lifesaving charitable organisation that delivers blood products, medical equipment, drugs & samples to and from hospitals out of hours.

In April 1981 Service by Emergency Rider Volunteers was set up to supply a quick and reliable means of Transporting Emergency Blood and Blood Products to the hospitals and medical facilities at night. Prior to SERV the only means available to hospitals, doctors and other medical establishments for the transport of emergency blood supplies at night were the following:
Taxis: The disadvantage was reliability, costs and time constraints. Police and Ambulance: Although fast and able to respond quickly, the disadvantage was it removed a much-needed emergency vehicle from service. Paid Courier Service: Very limited availability during the night. High cost for service and poor reliability. National Blood Transfusion Service: Their own vehicles are used during the day however availability during the night maybe limited and hospitals were charged for the service. SERV supplies this service FREE of any charge, thus freeing up much-needed funds for improved patient care and other facilities within the hospital.

🌧️💨 RAIN OR SHINE – SERV KENT BLOOD RUNNERS ARE ALWAYS THERE! 🏍️🚗❤️

Despite the heavy rain and strong winds since Thursday night, our incredible SERV Kent volunteer riders and drivers have continued to brave the elements, working 24 hours a day to support the NHS and Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance. 🚁🏥

While most of us have been keeping warm and dry, our dedicated volunteers have been out on Kent’s roads, transporting urgently needed blood, blood products and other vital medical supplies.

❤️ Bad weather doesn’t stop the need for lifesaving deliveries – and it doesn’t stop SERV Kent!

👏 A HUGE thank you to every volunteer who has been out in these challenging conditions, giving up their time to help others.

🙏 And thank you to everyone who supports our charity. Your generosity helps keep our wheels turning 24 hours a day, 365 days a year!

What a fantastic Quiz Night at Rochester Cruising Club!

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, joined in the fun and helped us raise an incredible £1,879.73! 👏

We are especially grateful to all our very generous supporters and local businesses who donated such wonderful raffle and auction prizes. Your kindness and generosity made a real difference.

Special thanks also to Rochester Cruising Club for hosting such a brilliant evening.

🪂🏍️ A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR VERY OWN HIGH-FLYING BILL! 👏❤️

Being a volunteer rider for SERV Kent Blood Runners clearly wasn’t enough for Bill — he decided to go one step further (or should that be one giant leap!) and jump out of a perfectly good aeroplane! ✈️🪂

During the summer, Bill completed a sponsored skydive, raising a fantastic £780 for SERV Kent! 🎉

Not only does Bill generously give up his time to help us support the NHS and Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance, but he’s also gone above and beyond to raise vital funds for our charity.

💙 Bill, from everyone at SERV Kent, THANK YOU! Your dedication, generosity and courage are truly appreciated.

Every pound raised helps keep our volunteer riders and drivers on the road, delivering vital medical supplies when they’re needed most.
