We are absolutely delighted to announce that My Shining Star Children’s Cancer Charity has been selected as a finalist in the Kent Charity Awards 2026!

This recognition is a testament to the incredible support of our families, volunteers, fundraisers, partners, and supporters who help us make a difference in the lives of children and families affected by cancer.

Being named a finalist is a tremendous honour and reflects the dedication, compassion, and hard work of everyone involved with My Shining Star. We are so proud to stand alongside so many inspiring charities making a positive impact across Kent.

❤️⭐️ Recently, My Shining Star Children’s Cancer Charity was delighted to offer the Brown family a much-needed caravan break away.

The family have faced many challenges over the years and truly deserved the opportunity to rest, recharge, and spend some quality time together. Their son, Archie, was diagnosed with cancer and continues to live with the lasting effects of his treatment, making family time and creating special memories even more important.

We hope this short break gave them the chance to relax, make happy memories, and enjoy some precious time away from the pressures that childhood cancer can bring.

At My Shining Star, we are committed to supporting families not only during treatment but also through the long-term challenges that can remain long after treatment ends.

❤️⭐️ Recently, My Shining Star Children’s Cancer Charity has been able to provide support to 3-year-old Callum and his family following his diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL).

With frequent journeys from East Sussex to The Royal Marsden Hospital for treatment, the financial strain on the family has been significant. It has been our privilege to help ease some of that burden during such a difficult time.

At My Shining Star, we understand that childhood cancer affects the whole family, and we are committed to providing practical support when it is needed most.

Today we have actioned two grants for children that have both gone into remission!! We absolutely love to hear it ❤️.

Treatment still continues to make sure nothing comes back- and they still have a way to go2 but hearing that a child is responding is just wonderful news!

We had a fantastic day at Brands Hatch Inflatable 5k! Thank you so much to everyone that took part! We had a great time cheering on all participants!
