Thank you for everything you have done for our Girl Guiding family, Denise! 🎉 Wishing you the very best in your retirement. You deserve all the happiness, relaxation, and wonderful adventures that this next chapter brings. Enjoy every moment! ❤️

At the end of this week, our chief executive of 13 years, Denise Spence, is retiring. Over her time as chief executive she has left a lasting mark on our organisation and on the lives of so many girls, volunteers and staff. While Denise is stepping away from her role, she will always remain a huge supporter of Girlguiding Scotland and the work we do.

"As I retire from Girlguiding Scotland I want to thank all those who have been part of the team over the years. In Scotland we are proud to be powered by 9,000 volunteers guiding more than 35,000 young members and all with a core staff team of less than 20 people. Through working together, our volunteers are able deliver the equivalent of £25 million worth of youth work in Scotland to improve the lives of girls! I won’t go too far, as the current chair of trustees put it, I will remain the organisation’s biggest cheerleader!” - Denise Spence.
