Dig In

On Wednesday we had the pleasure of attending The Veterans' Foundation 10th Anniversary Reception in Edinburgh. We joined members of the Military Community, representatives from third sector organisations and staff from The Veterans Foundation to celebrate the staggering £40m distributed to organisations supporting the Military Community over the last 10 years. Dig In has received amazing support from the foundation over the last 4 years for which we are truly grateful.

Latest batch of mud kitchens delivered to Willows school in Kirkham plus a few things we have been busy with in the workshop, the lads have also been busy building a new wood store to keep our wood tidy and dry, been a busy few weeks but we always get there in the end🌸🌺🌼🔨🪚

Dig In will be closed this Friday (31st July) as the team will be at Chorley Flower Show. If you are going to the show, please do come and see our amazing garden. Don't worry if you can't make the show, we will be recreating the garden here at Dig In after the show. Business as usual resumes next week.

We are absolutely thrilled to share that we have been awarded a £75,000 salary grant from the Veterans' Foundation towards our staff salaries over the next 3 years. This means job security and peace of mind for the veterans we employ and a huge help towards continuation of our service for those who rely on it and those who will benefit in the future.

A heartfelt thank you must go to the staff at the the Veterans' Foundation who work so hard to support organisations working with and for veterans. From the staff who deal so efficiently with queries to the Grants Managers who go the extra mile to really get to know what we do and how we work.

Happy to report that Willows Primary School in Kirkham are now proud owners of mud kitchens we delivered last week, they were met with great excitement and we hope the kids have hours of fun getting mucky.
