Congratulations to our U13’s Player of the Match winners Sammy, Oli, Thomas and Edward ✨🏆✨
“A tough prospect, playing top of the league Sedbergh away with just 9 players, but every one of the boys played their socks off and gave it everything.
A fabulous goal from William gave us an early lead and also gave Sedbergh a lot to think about.
Having no fresh legs to give anyone any rest was really tough on the lads, but every credit to them, they dug deep, kept working hard for one another, and stayed positive, even when conceding. They can be really proud of the performance and take a lot of confidence from it.
Awards this week...
Gold 🏅
Sammy
Superb effort in defence from him today, playing through an injury from the start but not letting it affect his game.
Tough tackling, strong in the air with some great headed clearances, and he also put in some really determined efforts to make last ditch tackles and blocks.
Silver 🥈 (2 players tied!)
Oli
Save, after save, after save. The opposition manager couldn't believe that it was his first season and playing up a year, too. Some impressive goalkeeping today.
Thomas
Great going forward, he linked up well with the midfield to get the team up the pitch, but it was his defensive efforts and hard work to get back and put the tackles and blocks in that impressed me today.
Bronze 🥉
Edward
He just never stopped running today.
Willing to do the hard work to press the opposition and make run after run into the channels, even when the pickings were slim, he didn't give up and never let his head drop.”
Fantastic work 🫶
