INTER WING ROUNDERS COMPETITION

🔥 Sporting success at today’s North region rounders tournament 🔥

Cadets from squadrons across Cumbria & Lancashire took part in a terrific event and all went home with medals. Well done to everyone involved 💥

VEX ROBOTICS NATIONAL COMPETITION

It’s been a nail-biting week, with our Squadron Robotics team having just returned from the RAFAC Vex Robotics 2025/26 finals, hosted at the NASC (National Air & Space Camp) at RAF Syerston.

We started off strong through our qualifying day (if you ignore us accidentally rolling our robot in our first match 😅), and we were delighted to finish our final game in 3rd place, but were pushed to 4th after the last qualifying match of the day.

The next day our spirits were high as we went in to the quarter finals. Unfortunately, we had a difficult first game which knocked us out of the competition. Whilst disappointing, the team wasted no time and were busy planning, strategising and engineering ahead of the next season!

To get to the finals has been an amazing rollercoaster, and we couldn’t be prouder of the team who worked tirelessly over the last several months, despite some very challenging obstacles.
