Lancashire ACF

What a week! From getting hands-on with camouflage and concealment to testing their marksmanship on the range, our detachments have been making the most of National Cadet Week.

But it wasn't just about training! We also had the opportunity to host one of our local MP, Paul Foster, giving cadets the chance to ask questions and share their views.

From practical skills to developing confidence, teamwork and having their voices heard, this is what being an Army Cadet is all about.

New skills. New experiences. New opportunities.

Proud to see our detachments getting involved and showing what Lancashire ACF has to offer.

At Lancashire Army Cadet Force, first aid is more than just another qualification.

Our cadets and adult volunteers learn how to respond when it really matters — from treating injuries and managing emergencies to providing vital first aid until professional help arrives.

And these skills have been put into practice.

We have had both cadets and adult volunteers use their training to help save lives. That’s the power of learning first aid.

The skills you learn at cadets don't just stay on parade nights or training exercises. They can stay with you for life — and one day, you could be the person who makes the difference.

Last night saw the premiere of Inside the Army Cadets — a brand-new documentary giving an insight into what life is really like inside the Army Cadets.

And we're proud to see Lancashire ACF featured!

From training and adventure to friendships, challenges and the opportunities cadets experience, the documentary gives viewers a glimpse of what happens beyond the uniform.

For our cadets, it's a chance to see themselves and their experiences represented on screen.

For those who have never experienced the Army Cadets, it's a chance to see what you're missing.

Watch Inside the Army Cadets now on the Army Cadets YouTube channel.

And if it inspires you to get involved...

CADETS IN THE COMMUNITY

Being a cadet isn't just about what happens on parade nights.

Across Lancashire, our cadets are getting involved in their local communities — volunteering, supporting events, fundraising, helping others and representing their communities with pride.

From supporting local charities and community events, to taking part in Remembrance activities and lending a hand when needed, our cadets are making a difference.

It’s about more than giving something back.

It’s about developing confidence, responsibility, teamwork and leadership — while making a real difference to the people and communities around us.

This is what being a cadet is all about.

Today marks the launch of National Cadet Week — a week celebrating cadets, CFAVs and the opportunities that being part of the Cadet Forces can bring.

For Lancashire Army Cadet Force, it’s a chance to celebrate our cadets and CFAVs and everything they get involved in — from fieldcraft, shooting and adventurous training to first aid, leadership, community engagement and so much more.

Being a cadet is about challenge, confidence, friendship and opportunity. It’s about learning new skills, pushing yourself outside your comfort zone and being part of something bigger.

A fantastic week at camp came to a close with a final parade and march past.

Thank you to all the adult volunteers and permanent staff who made this fantastic week possible. We couldn’t give the Cadets this experience without each and every one of you.

Thank you to all the Cadets for your impeccable behaviour and for once again demonstrating the high standards we expect at Lancashire ACF.

Enjoy the rest of your summer break—we look forward to seeing you all again very soon.

Today, our senior cadets proudly hosted a Visitors’ Day, showcasing a varied programme of activities including drill, shooting, and a tour of the camp and its facilities.

We were delighted to welcome Colonel Peter Stitt, Commander North; Lieutenant Colonel John Harker MBE, Regimental Secretary; Greg Stevenson MBE, LCC Armed Forces Covenant Manager; and our Honorary Colonel, Charles Hadcock DL.

It was a fantastic morning, and our cadets did themselves proud by delivering a confident and highly professional presentation. A huge well done to everyone involved!
